Undefeated Trophy in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix HD

  • Undefeated

Clear the game without using a continue

    How to unlock Undefeated

For this trophy you must clear the game without using a continue. Whenever Sora loses all his health you are redirected to a "Continue" screen where Sora floats in the middle of the screen with his heart hovering above of him with it you have 2 options, one to continue and the other to reload your save.

Whenever you select continue you are redirected to the beginning of the area you were previously in, opposed to having to reload your save and start by at the least save point you were at. For this trophy you cannot use this option - you can however use the reload option and reload your save file, doing this will not void you of the trophy and saves you time from having to turn the PS3 on and off everytime you die.

After you have beaten the game without using a continue the trophy will unlock alongside the difficulty trophy of that playthrough.

  • You could possibly Quit to XMB if you should happen to lose a fight.
  • does it count if you lose to cloud or leon?
  • Unless they dramatically changed it from the PS2 version, no it doesn't count. It only counts when you manually select 'Continue' once you've died. Fights that advance the game even if you lose do not count. There was a group of people that tested this to see what affected the 'Times Defeated' stat on the battle report at the end. Also, quitting the PS3 and quitting to the XMB seem like a waste of time to me. If you don't want to use the load game option, the soft reset function still works.
  • ^ soft reset is start+select+L1+R1+L2+R2 takes you back to the title screen.
  • pretty simple did this while getting the speedster trophy and using default equipment just pick the shield and sword and It shouldn't be an issue.
  • does this include if you are in the olympus area. Like if your doing the phil cup and lose will it negate the trophy?
  • @#6, no, I don't think it does :)
  • Just make sure to save often and always pick to reload your save if you die instead of continue. The only place this should give you trouble is in Hollow Bastion since there is no save before the first Maleficent fight and if you die you'll have to make your completely up the castle again. Luckily its an easy fight.
  • i dont think olympus counts. Since i was fighting cloud in the herc cup and lost. But it did not give me a phyiscal continue screen where sora is floating. it simply ended the cup and had me back in the lobby. So i think in the cups it will not count for a death if you lose in it.
  • the place that's the most difficult (at least as far as i got)...hollow bastion half an hour of switching crystals, defeating heartless, climbing up the tower just to be killed without a save at all until WAYYYYY up there so you either have to take all that time to climb back down and save or you need to take all your time leveling up to where you won't die a save halfway through that climb would have been nice but consideration is not quite their strong point, it seems
  • I did this on the hardest difficulty. It wasn't wise.
  • no trophies without changing characters because selzionare help to you thanks
  • ok so lets say I seriously messed up and I pressed the continue on accident. But I didn't save. If I restart my system and start at that save again will that count as me using a continue?
  • @13 No, you should be fine.
  • Word of advice. If you're like me and a lot of other dudes that want to get Speedster, Unchanging Armor, and Undefeated on the same save file, I would STRONGLY suggest making two save files in the Final Rest and just get Unchanging Armor on one and Undefeated on the other. Yea you will have to face Ansem twice, but there is nothing worse than dying on World of Chaos after going through all that work and having to go all the way back to the first fight, especially when you are doing garbage damage the entire time so the fights are twice as long. Go for Unchanging Armor first and try as hard as you can not do die, but if you die far into the fight, just keep going.
  • This will allow you to use continues when going for Unchanging Armor as it is MUCH easier to get Undefeated when using equipment. If you manage to not die at all when getting Unchanging Armor, than lucky you. But unless you are extremely confident or want bragging rights, you are more than likely going to save time fighting the boss twice than dying part way through and starting all the way over.
