| Bakugan: Defenders of the Core - Trophy Guide PS3Trophies.org - Every Trophy Counts | ||
There are 45 trophies with a total of 0 points.
| Bakugan Master (Platinum) | ||
| Get every trophy in the game. | ||
Unlocks after getting all other trophies. Take a bow, Bakugan Master!
| We Feet (Bronze) | ||
| Follow Dan's instructions. | ||
Cannot be missed. Shortly after beginning story mode, Dan will fight you in a tutorial battle. I do not think it is possible to lose this battle, so simply press the buttons he tells you to. After you win, the trophy will unlock.
| First Encounter (Bronze) | ||
| Save Dan and Marucho. | ||
Cannot be missed. The first story mission in the game will unlock "One Down..." and "First Encounter." Use Drago to kill some simple enemies, then target and destroy the Vexos Crystal.
| One Down... (Bronze) | ||
| Destroy a Vexos crystal in Story Mode. | ||
See First Encounter. | ||
| Illusionist (Bronze) | ||
| Build a hologram tower. | ||
See Hologram Tycoon. | ||
| Hologram Tycoon (Silver) | ||
| Build a hologram tower of each attribute. | ||
You should get this trophy naturally during Story Mode. During the third mission, you gain the ability to add hologram towers to battles. Hologram towers distract enemies from attacking your landmark and can heal you if you stand under them. Very helpful. There is a hologram tower for each elemental attribute. You want to use the hologram of the element that best resists the enemy element. If for some reason you finish Story Mode without this trophy popping, just revisit any old map. Put down a tower of each type and replay the map until you've done it with all types.
| Collector (Silver) | ||
| Earn 100,000 in core energy. | ||
You won't have to grind for this. You will get 100,000 core energy before you finish story mode the first time and certainly long before you have enough core energy to purchase all upgrades.
| Treasure Hunter (Bronze) | ||
| Get ten items from item boxes. | ||
See Full Deck. | ||
| Good Aim (Bronze) | ||
| Throw your Bakugan to get an item. | ||
During one of the early exploration areas, you are forced to learn how to throw Bakugan. You press
| D-Fence (Bronze) | ||
| Deflect an opponent's physical attack 5 times in a single battle. | ||
Deflecting is different from a combo breaker. It's simply putting up your shield right before receiving an attack by holding
| Denied! (Bronze) | ||
| Do ten combo breakers in a single battle. | ||
See Untouchable. | ||
| Untouchable (Silver) | ||
| Do ten perfect combo breakers in a single battle. | ||
To do a combo breaker, press
| Black Belt (Silver) | ||
| Do all combos on a Bakugan's Combo List in a single battle. | ||
If you pause during battle, you can bring up the Combo List. Simply enough, successfully execute each one of the combos in a single battle. If it helps, you can do this in Dual Mode against a helpless human opponent. Also set their health to 150% so they can take all the combos without dying.
| Grand Master (Silver) | ||
| Do twenty or more hits in a single combo. | ||
Completing a combo from the combo list will probably send enemies flying after 3 or 4 hits. So how do we get to 20? The easiest way is after beating the game. At that point, you get Maxus Dragonoid, who can do a 21 hit combo with a fully charged projectile attack.
| Power Hungry (Bronze) | ||
| Pick up all three power-up types in a single battle. | ||
Power-ups pop up randomly when buildings are destroyed. If you don't get this trophy naturally during story mode, go to the Battle Arena. Turn off targeting and start destroying buildings until you get one of each power-up.
| Gate Card Set (Silver) | ||
| Open each type of Gate card at least once. | ||
Gate cards occasionally appear in place of power-ups when things are destroyed. When they do, the environment changes to the element of your Bakugan. So, if you are using Dragonoid, gate cards will always be Pyrus. You need to activate a gate card with a Bakugan of each attribute type to unlock the trophy.
| B Student (Bronze) | ||
| Get B rank or higher in six Story Mode battles. | ||
See Perfection. | ||
| Honor Roll (Silver) | ||
| Get A rank or higher in twelve Story Mode battles. | ||
See Perfection. | ||
| Perfection (Gold) | ||
| Get S rank in every Story Mode battle. | ||
There are 17 story battles in the game. Every time you complete one, you receive a grade, with "S" being the highest possible grade. The goal here is to receive an "S" in all 17 battles.
The guide on xbox360achievements says that "clear bonus" is based on how fast you win the battle. I believe this is incorrect. I think each level just has a base amount of core energy it gives you for winning the battle, and that this has nothing to do with grade rank.
| 1-Up (Bronze) | ||
| Purchase an upgrade for a Bakugan. | ||
See Long Hard Road. | ||
| Six-Pack (Silver) | ||
| Purchase all upgrades for six different Bakugan. | ||
See Long Hard Road. | ||
| Long Hard Road (Gold) | ||
| Purchase all upgrades for all Bakugan. | ||
To upgrade a Bakugan, choose a Bakugan on the partner select screen before a story battle. You'll have the opportunity to spend core energy like currency on upgrades to your Bakugan. When every upgrade for every Bakugan is purchased, the trophy pops.
| Duel Master (Bronze) | ||
| Win five duels against the CPU in Battle Arena Mode | ||
Before getting started in Duel Mode, you can change the Battle Arena CPU to "Easy" and number of rounds to 1. This will shorten the amount of time it takes to beat the CPU five times. If you need to, you can also increase your health to 150% and decrease the CPU to 50%. Plus, you can choose a Bakugan for yourself and your opponent that gives you the superior type advantage. With all these perks, it should be easy. After you win, hit Retry and do it four more times.
| One Man Army (Bronze) | ||
| Obtain 250 or more points in a Battle Arena Free For All. | ||
You can either get this trophy against a vacant second controller or the CPU. Make sure that you put the CPU on "Easy" and set the battle time to 300 seconds. Also make sure you have a Combo ability card and put the enemy's health at 50%. You get 1 point for each hit and 20 points for a kill. So you want lots of combos (such as from the ability card) and kills (from a weak enemy). In the closing seconds of the battle, kills are worth double. You should be able to get over 250 points in 300 seconds.
| Wrecking Ball (Bronze) | ||
| Obtain 500 or more points in a Battle Arena Destruction Battle. | ||
Once again, you can get this trophy against an unmanned second controller. If you choose to use the CPU, put it on "Easy." Either way, crank the time up to 300 seconds. While I was able to get One Man Army with the CPU, for Wrecking Ball it really is advantageous to use an empty controller, seeing as how you're racing another Bakugan to destroy crystals. Once again, you also get double points in the closing seconds. Kill enough crystals to get 500 points in 300 seconds.
| Champion! (Silver) | ||
| Win 30 times against the CPU in Battle Arena Mode. | ||
This is 30 times total, and I think it might only be possible in Duel Mode. So go back to Duel Mode, put enemy health on 50% and rounds on 1. Then beat up someone until the trophy unlocks. This takes a while.
| So Many Choices (Silver) | ||
| Unlock every Bakugan in the game. | ||
Simply finishing the Story Mode will gradually unlock every Bakugan in the game except for one. The last one is Maxus Helios, the strongest Vexos Bakugan. To get Maxus Helios, start a new Story Mode after beating the game. In the exploration mode before some missions, make sure to get every unopened chest. Some of them will contain Bakugan Traps. When you collect the last Trap, Maxus Helios is unlocked along with the trophy.
| Full Deck (Silver) | ||
| Get every Ability card in the game. | ||
The only thing you need to be worried about missing in this game are the treasure chests in exploration mode. Before about half of the missions in story mode, you have to run around on foot, navigating a map while avoiding robots and soldiers with flashlights. Each one of these stages has a set number of treasure chests. The chests always contain either a Vexos Pass Card, a Figurine, or an Ability Card.
| Go Figure (Silver) | ||
| Collect every metal figure in the game. | ||
See Full Deck. | ||
Secret Trophies | ||
| Kidnapped! (Bronze) | ||
| Save Elfin from Shadow. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the second story mission. A new wrinkle forces you to protect a landmark in addition to killing the enemies. Just kill the enemies as quickly as you can and don't slack off.
| Mr. Crazypants (Bronze) | ||
| Invent hologram towers and use them to beat the Vexos. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the third story mission. Use Darkus as your Hologram tower. Either Neo Dragonoid or Elfin as your Bakugan is fine.
| Distrust (Bronze) | ||
| Join forces with Ace. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the fourth story mission. Don't use Neo Dragonoid! He's ineffective against the Aquos monsters. Elfin is better. Use a Ventus hologram
| Mr. Hotshot Himself (Bronze) | ||
| Save Percival from Volt. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the fifth story mission. Recommended Bakugan is Neo Dragonoid. Recommended hologram is Pyrus.
| Master Baron (Bronze) | ||
| Save Ingram and Nemus from Lync. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the sixth story mission. Recommended Bakugan is Neo Dragonoid. Recommended hologram is Pyrus. You need to take out the Vexos crystal before any enemies in this battle to stop it from respawning enemy bakugan.
| Misunderstanding (Bronze) | ||
| Don't get fooled by Mylene's tricks. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the seventh story mission. Recommended Bakugan is Percival. Recommended hologram is Darkus.
| Don't Cross Drago (Bronze) | ||
| Stop the kidnappers and get Wilda back. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the eighth story mission. Recommended Bakugan is Neo Dragonoid. Recommended hologram is Pyrus. Defeat Wilda first, then the first crystal, then the trap bakugan, then the second crystal, then the two new trap bakugan, then Hades. Make sure to stop and heal any time you're alone with a crystal.
| Unnatural Disaster (Bronze) | ||
| Defeat Lync and stop the earthquakes. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the ninth story mission. Recommended Bakugan is Wilda. Recommended hologram is Subterra. Wilda will have some trouble jumping over the sheer cliffs, but resist the temptation to switch to a flying bakugan. Wilda's type advantage is too important.
| Digging in the Right Place (Bronze) | ||
| Get to Abyss before the Vexos. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the tenth story mission. Recommended Bakugan is Elfin (or Dual Elfin). Recommended hologram is Aquos. You can now build level 2 hologram towers, so be sure to do that. The trap bakugan respawn if you don't destroy the crystals first.
| Spec-Dah (Bronze) | ||
| Defeat your ultimate foe and pay the ultimate price. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the eleventh story mission. You are forced to use Cross Dragonoid. No strategy here. Just do your best. If you are having trouble, you can always replay some old levels to get core energy to upgrade Cross Dragonoid.
| A Reason to Fight (Bronze) | ||
| Defeat Spectra's right-hand man. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the twelfth story mission. Recommended Bakugan is Mega Nemus, or a Magma Wilda with Max Combo upgrades. Recommended hologram is Haos. The enemies here are weak against Haos, but in my experience, your Haos Bakugan Nemus and Mega Nemus aren't very strong. I had an easier time using Magma Wilda, but your results may vary.
| There's No I in Team (Bronze) | ||
| Defeat Volt and Lync at the same time. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the thirteenth story mission. Recommended Bakugan is Midnight Percival. Recommended hologram is Darkus. Note that you can now do level 3 towers.
| Friendship (Bronze) | ||
| Defeat Mylene and Shadow at the same time. | ||
| Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the fourteenth story mission. Recommended Bakugan is Master Ingram or Magma Wilda. Recommended hologram is Ventus. If you do use Master Ingram, concentrate on taking out Elico first. | ||
| Into the Lion's Den (Bronze) | ||
| Find a way into Vexos Headquarters. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the fifteenth story mission. Recommended Bakugan is Mega Nemus or Magma Wilda. Recommended hologram is a level 3 Haos. You only get one hologram tower this time, so don't be cheap. Trap enemies respawn this mission, so first concentrate on taking out the crystals. Once the barrier falls, you can take out the center crystal and then Premo.
| Reunited (Silver) | ||
| Rescue your friend at any cost. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon completing the sixteenth story mission. Recommended Bakugan is Dual Elfin or Magma Wilda. There is no strategy here. Just a one-on-one fight.
| Defender of the Core (Silver) | ||
| Defeat Spectra and stop his evil plans. | ||
Cannot be missed. This trophy unlocks upon winning the final story battle. You are forced to use Maxus Dragonoid for this battle. If you have the core energy to spare, it will help to give him combo boost and combo max.
