Definitely a MUST have for any self respecting Metal Gear Solid fan. I'm picking this up for sure. Thanks Kojima!!Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 05:20 AM
I'm not even that much of a fan and I'm tempted. A very nice collection and a must-buy for anyone on the fence.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 05:21 AM
looks like no hd version of mgs1. I'm interested to see if they will give you a download voucher for mgs1 or that it will be included on the disc.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 05:25 AM
I have very fond memories of MGS1, but I fear it hasn't aged well...Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 05:28 AM
So basically they're releasing the HD Collection yet AGAIN + MGS1 which you can buy from the PSStore? wow...Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 05:32 AM
demz, it's mgs 1, the mgs hd collection and mgs 4Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 05:38 AM
If y'all want a better mgs one there is twin snakes on gamecube, if thats your thing... I know it was for me XDTuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 06:12 AM
sucks for old players, great for new players.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 07:40 AM
Just bought the HD collection about 2 weeks ago, so no. If it had TTS version of mgs 1 with trophies and portable ops I would've been tempted but I already have all these games.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 07:40 AM
I wonder if the Digital Graphic Novels will have English voice acting or not. They're still missing Portable Ops, so the series still can't be played through in one package.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 07:52 AM
Not worth it. Most people already have these games if they wanted them when the HD collection came out. They would also already have the $10 ps1 title and $20 MGS4 title by now as well. This is just lazy.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 08:01 AM
I don't understand where they get off making so many different bundles? It's not even TTS version of mgs. I know metal gear ac!d was not a loved game, never tried it myself, but even portable ops was left out. If it ere just "solid snake" then why include peace walker and mgs3? I love this franchise, and Kojima, but the cash grabs need to stop.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 08:58 AM
Konami loves their collections. With MGS HD Collection less than a year old this feels like a cash grab to me. If they really want to sell us he same games for a 3rd/4th time they need to make this DEFINITIVE!! IE: Remaster MGS1 in HD with improved textures and lighting + trophies, also include Twin Snakes (w/ Nintendo references removed of course).Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 09:27 AM
They should've added trophies to the first mgs or include mgs twin snakes.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 09:34 AM
I'd be tempted if there was new content, but even the graphic novels have already been released previously. It'd be cool to have them all in one set though. Have to see how much it will cost though. Probably more then I'll be willing to pay, given that I have them all already.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 09:49 AM
Already got 'em.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 09:52 AM
Ahhh just got the HD collection tooTuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 11:10 AM
@13 Agreed. Give us a good reason to pick this up yet again, I got the HD collection so I'll skip this.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 11:11 AM
I'm now extremely glad I've held off on the HD Collection.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 11:54 AM
fcuk!. I've the HD collection limited edition. Then they pull this shit. They shouldn't have released the HD collection thenTuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 11:55 AM
I'd consider it if the MGS1 was Twin SnakesTuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 11:58 AM
Finally I'll be able to play the whole series for the first time! (that's if I have the money to pay for it, which i don't :C). Thank you (anyway) Konami!Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 12:28 PM
Do they all have trophies? That is the only way i would pick this up! I have all the games plus the HD collection..Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 12:42 PM
i have MGS4 but haven't played it yet might but this version and sell my copy it would be a whole lot better if i started from the very beginning than to start with 4 straight away.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 12:54 PM
What a bunch of babies, This is why u don't buy the first collection unless it has all the games you want. I wanted MGS so I didn't buy the last collectionTuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 02:33 PM
Hope this releases in UK/Europe hate it when it don't get announced hopefully were hear something soon.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 02:59 PM
All they had to do was release PO and plus for PS3/vita and they had me... Well, that and include MGS4 ported to the vita! I would be fine with 3 cartridges! lolTuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 06:52 PM
I wonder how they're going to do the psycho mantis thing from the original mgs. The one where you change the controller port. Would we have to hold down the ps button and change the settings to controller 2?Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 10:34 PM
Better have trophies for every game.Tuesday, April 23, 2013 @ 11:17 PM
Eh, pass. I think I will just pick up HD Collection seeing as how an HD remake of MGS is not coming any time soon.Wednesday, April 24, 2013 @ 09:57 AM
@28, if it's like the PS1 Classic version, you just reassign the controller to port 2 through the PS Button.Wednesday, April 24, 2013 @ 01:08 PM
@29, no way MGS1 will have trophs... sorry!Saturday, June 29, 2013 @ 10:35 PM
I live in Peru, but I have preordered it. Will I still be able to download the MGS1 and VR Missions?

Konami has officially announced Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection for release in North and South America this summer.
Timed to tie-in to the Metal gear franchise’s 25th anniversary, the PlayStation 3-exclusive package includes Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition (which itself includes the MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2), Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD Edition, Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions and Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition.
Oh and two Ashley Wood digital graphic novels are also included in the package. That’s a whole load of Snake in one place.
"We wanted to give Metal Gear Solid fans the opportunity to experience the series from beginning to end, all on one console," said Konami President Tomoyuki Tsuboi in a statement. "With the collection's multiple titles, players can truly see how Metal Gear Solid evolved into the critically acclaimed and beloved franchise it is today."
Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection is out this June. A European release is yet to be announced.
