Don't worry, we'll keep this brief. Deep Silver has today announced that it will be publishing a video game based upon the worldwide television hit that is The X Factor.

Taking in every aspect of the show from auditions and boot camp to the live finals, The X Factor game aims to capture the look and feel of the TV show, so expect shrieking fans, warbling contestants and bleating judges, including the world's richest man, Simon Cowell.

"To be able to work with a phenomenal brand such as The X Factor is an incredible opportunity," said Georg Larch, International Marketing Director, Deep Silver. "The X Factor is a truly global brand which is instantly recognisable to thousands of gamers and TV fans around the world. With the developer, Hydravision Entertainment, Deep Silver will be creating a game that is a true adaptation of the show from the hilarity of the auditions to the excitement of the live show; we will be testing the singing skills of the player and will feature the sharp critique of the judges."

The X Factor will be released in multiple languages for each European territory that airs the show, including the UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. It'll be released in Q4 2010. That is all. That wasn't actually that brief after all, was it?

#4 - Sony does not control who makes games on their console that strictly for a reason, they are not going to deny someone just because their game will suck. What if most of the world thought your favorite game was trash and Sony banned it from the PS3?

They need to be worried about getting good games on the PS3 not getting bad games off the PS3 anyhow.

^ LOL

Lol @4, your life is over.

I'm just disappointed that Simon Cowell is on it. That's an instant turnoff. And it's the x factor so...

@ #6 and #7

While the show is not aired right now, it has already been announced and is already in production, complete with castings in several towns and all that stuff. So it will be aired in the near future (on a channel called VOX if youre interested).

Other than that I was hoping for a game for the X-Factor show that was about all that "mystery stuff" and had Johnathan Frakes (Spelling?) as a host... Man I liked that show when I was like 8 years or so old ...
