Using the PlayStation Eye, Kung-Fu Live is a motion-controlled game wherein you actually high kick and punch your way through bad guys with nary a control pad in sight. Scanning your body and placing you in the game, Kung-Fu Live uses Freemotion technology to map full motion body movements. You're then boosted with additional superhuman abilities like flips, high jump kicks, bullet time and even lightning that you can shoot from your hands. No real martial arts skills are required - despite the flying kicks the guy in the video pulls off - and it might even get you into shape. Teemu Maki-Pattola, CEO of developer Virtual Air Guitar writes on the PlayStation Blog: "I lost about four pounds in four days playing the game for an hour a day. For once, I’m ready for the beach before the summer starts!" No doubt some players will get carried away, and fly kick their TVs through a wall. Check out the brief trailer, the prepare for Kung-Fu Live, which is due to release on PSN later in the year. | |
