Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Demo Coming West in January

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

If you've grabbed a copy of Zone of the Enders HD Collection, you'll have already played the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo, but for everyone else, Konami has announced that you'll be able to sample the slicing and dicing action as Raiden next month.

The demo is currently available in Japan, but will be coming to the west in January 2013, according to a tweet from Konami. And if it's anything like the Japanese demo, it'll be rather substantial, as it weighed in at a rather chunky 3.5GB. We might need to clear a bit of hard drive space for this one.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be getting a demo on the PlayStation Network in January 2013, ahead of the full game's launch on February 19th, 2013 in North America, February 21st, 2013 in Japan and February 22nd, 2013 in Europe.

	Konami tweet: MGR demo is coming to PSN & XBL for all regions next month! Can't wait? Check out the demo now as part of ZOE HD. There your reason why we didn't see the Demo on the 13th as well, ZOE HD as really only just came out in the EU that tweet says it all.

	@2 I know whats your point? it was cancelled on the Xbox360 JP only. And this is a PS3 website, the demo's out and has been since the 13th on the PSN which region locked to Japan. But it still out for Xbox users in EU/NA and from what that tweet says the demo out next month on both the Xbox and PS3.

	Is MGS no longer a PlayStation exclusive? I ask cause I'm interested, but worried, about if MGS 5 will be an exclusive for PS3 or if it will be XBOX 360 as well.

	@5 I think it's only Metal Gear Solid for ps1 and Metal Gear Solid 4 that are Playstation exclusives. My guess is MGS5 will be multiplatform. Kojima decided to go that way with Rising so I think from now on they will all be multiplatform.

	@5: All the canonical games in the series from MGS1 to Peace Walker were originally - in their first version - PlayStation exclusives, but eventually they all went multiplatform, except for Portable Ops (still a PSP/PSV exclusive) and MGS4 (still a PS3 exclusive). The Twin Snakes - the remake of MGS1 - was and still is, however, a Nintendo GameCube exclusive, and Snake Eater 3D - the recent remake of MGS3 - is a Nintendo 3DS exclusive.

	#4 Maybe because this is no Metal Gear Solid game it's a hack "n" slash a spin off, chance's are if you did not like Bayonetta you will not like this. But I can confidentially say this is going to be one of the best hack "n* slash games of 2013. And the only reason some people will look into this game is because it is a spin off of Metal Gear Solid, thinking it will share the same gameplay when it's nothing like Metal Gear Solid. So if your a fan of hack "n* slash games check it out otherwise don't bother.

	the poor stealth parts, @9 The Stealth parts are not to be taken seriously it's more of a nod to Metal Gear Solid, really when have you heard of stealth in a hack "n" slash game. I made my decision when I heard the music in the trailer where Raiden battles the Rays. Just no... @9 You made a decision base off the music on a trailer weather a game is any good or not, well that says it all.
