EA's newly established Sweden Gothenburg studio has been renamed Ghost, and is currently looking for "the best talent in the industry" to fill 16 job vacancies including Art Director, Audio Designer, Creative Director, Gameplay Designer and others on its website. Apparently the studio is working on the next instalment in the Need for Speed series. “Would you like to be a part of EA?” the old EA Gothenburg site asked. “Would you like to work on a game in the Need for Speed franchise? You now have the opportunity to become a part of EA Gothenburg and fulfill those two wishes! We are hiring, and we are hiring a lot!” Tellingly, Ghost is also looking for a Vehicle Artist, with the following criteria: "As a Senior Vehicle Artist you will help define and document in-game vehicle specifications, prototype new features and implement and tweak vehicle assets under direction from the Vehicle Producer. This is a key role in the making of our game. As the vehicle is almost always located in the centre of player's view, it's imperative that the vehicle looks sensational at all times." It's entirely possible that Ghost could alternate with Criterion on each iteration of Need for Speed, with Criterion potentially overseeing Ghost's Need for Speed output. Need for Speed: Most Wanted is Criterion's last effort and is out now. [Via EG] ![]() | |
