Pre-Order Crysis 3, Get Crysis Digital Download Free

Thinking of downloading the original Crysis from the PlayStation Store? Well, hold your horses, because EA has announced that a pre-order of Crysis 3 will be rewarded with a free digital download of the much-lauded Crysis, which is normally available to buy from PSN.

“The release of Crysis in 2007 was truly a watershed moment for first-person shooters and raised the bar on cutting-edge visuals and gameplay and we could not be more thrilled to include the original game as a pre-order bonus,” said Crytek CEO, Cevat Yerli. “Building upon the framework laid by the previous games, Crysis 3 will deliver an action-packed experience that encourages players to assess, adapt and attack the Seven Wonders of the New York City Liberty Dome and challenges that stand in their way.”

Crysis is available on the PS Store for $19.99, so this Crysis 3 pre-order bonus is none too shabby. Crysis 3 is scheduled for release in February 2013.

Crysis 1 with pre-order, Crysis 2 free on plus this month... you can get the three games for the price of one.

That's cool but I already bought it a few months back.

But you know what's funny? I live in Germany and have to import a German game from Austria just to be able to play it in English. I don't understand why CoD and Crysis are 100% subbed and dubbed in Germany without leaving the option of Multi 5. :(

The first Crysis was ok. I didn't play it until it was on PSN, and by then felt a bit dated. Too much sneaking around in the early stages.

Didn't bother with 2 due to the MP crap, so I won't likely play 3.

With the Crytek comments from the past few months, I have a very hard time supporting their company in any case.

I hope most of you havent forgot that Crytek ordeal where they said sorry for something *im one of them who forgot -.-* but yeah i remember that a lot of people where pissed with what some Crytek guy said, and he had to apologize.. but anyway this looks reasonably great, just hope EA dont stick Origin sign ups all over it and DLC coming our of every corner

No interest in the series or knowledge of it but I think this is a good Pre-Order bonus, as they're not cutting out Ingame content, they're giving you something different completely.

Crysis 1 was on offer on the store not so long ago and I bought it, thanks for the heads up Crytek, how stupid an offer is that really since the game has been out for ages, Crytek shut up now and make Timesplitters LOL

Jeez, seems like nobody is ever satisfied during this generation of gaming. Screw Call of Duty, screw EA, screw Crytek, screw everyone.

I guess I just don't see a legitimate reason to hate Crytek. The Crysis games I found entertaining, the gameplay was solid and great, especially considering it's an FPS series. Surely everyone's not upset over some virtual trophies? Because that just seems so stupid to be mad over that. Is it their comments on wanting games to switch over to F2P? There's already a market for that, so hating on them for saying it seems pointless as well.

I enjoyed Crysis 2, mainly due to paying $25 bucks for it. I woulda grabbed Crysis 1 on PSN, when it was on sale for $10, if I had PS+ at the time... still waiting for another sale.

As for Crysis 3, I can definitely see myself buying it once it hits the $20 range.

Only stuff worth my money day one seems to be from Naughty Dog, Gearbox, Media Molecule and Platinum Games, anymore, but that's just me.

@21 where have you been this year? the reason people are hating on Crytek is because they were backing up a program to prevent people playing second hand games, they wanted to add something to each game so that it would register to that specific machine and if somebody else wanted to play it on another machine you had to pay full price for it again, it was to eliminate second hand sales because Crytek reckoned that was what is killing the gaming industry (kind true, but no need to go to that extreme).
I agree with you that their games are entertaining, the gameplay is solid and great with a lot of detail, I think the story of the first game was excellent the second was so-so but what I liked most was it kept pushing you to keep going in most situations, so no not everyone is upset over some virtual trophies, that would be sad LOL

In the grand scheme of things Crytek don't give a fuck about any of you, even trolling about Crysis is promoting it, so if you REALLY want to change their minds why not simply ignore all Crytek-related articles and vote with your wallets next spring?
