![]() | Interview: Adrian Chmielarz Is "Mr Bulletstorm" Written Monday, May 17, 2010 By Dan Webb View author's profile |
Although People Can Fly's Creative Director, Adrian Chmielarz, doesn't class himself as "Mr Bulletstorm," after catching up with him at last week's EA showcase in London, we decided to slap that moniker on him for one simple reason... the guy is just as bombastic as the game is turning out to be. It's always a treat to get into an interview room with someone who shows that enthusiasm for their product. After all, love is the number #1 ingredient in making a great game. That, and rainbows. Adrian Chmielarz in this relatively long - but equally awesome - interview tells us about the Bulletstorm design process and how "awesome" isn't good enough for something to make the grade, it has to be "fucking awesome" to earn its place. He also tells us about their "circle of awesome" and even uses Cliff Bleszinski's "bigger, better and more badass" to describe the evolution of weapons within the game. It's okay though, they're pretty much owned by Epic! If the bombastic stylings of Chmielarz aren't enough, don't forget to check out our recent preview of the title here. | |
