Assassin's Creed III Pre-Orders Break Ubisoft Records

Assassin’s Creed III is the most pre-ordered game in Ubisoft’s history, the publisher has announced.

Indeed, pre-ordered numbers are more than double those of the last game in the series, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations.

“Pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed 3 at GameStop are 100% higher than last year, putting the game on track to be one of the top titles of 2012,” said Michael van den Berg, GameStop’s VP of international merchandising, marketing & digital at GameStop. 

“In addition, Ubisoft is offering a Season Pass and high quality DLC available at launch to bring even more excitement to this title.”

So, quite popular then. But is it any good? Rich is playing it right now and he’ll be on hand soon to deliver his official verdict.

Assassin’s Creed III is out on October 30th in North America and October 31st in Europe. That’s next week!

Not only is it the most pre-ordered game in Ubisoft's history, it may also be one of the best.

Good, they deserve it. As an open world (?) AAA game this too me is the next Red Dead Redemtion =) *5Days*

Glad to read that. The game looks incredible and seems to have a high quality. I don't regret my pre-order one second and I'm impatient to play it ! Next week won't come so soon enough !

Being the third official installment of this beautiful series I had no doubt it would break Revelations preorder count. But double is great... of course adding the season pass annoys me a little but I pre ordered anyways because I wanna play every last drop of every AC game (yes I even 100% those DS and PSP titles :p)

@10 thanks but I tis be Canadian, though just found out a few hours ago that could order it from the states, though ughhh going to need to pay duty now.
