...my god it looks kinda like the xbox live market place. I liked it as it was before, or currently as I should say -_-Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:20 AM
Looks great, I love it !Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:22 AM
Yeah I can't help but notice the resemblance to the Xbox Live Marketplace. Not digging the new style at all. Maybe it'll grow on me.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:24 AM
I think it look's goodThursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:27 AM
I think it looks greatThursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:28 AM
looks beautiful, maybe they could get round too a XMB redesign soon?Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:29 AM
PlayStation Store looked really outdated and incredibly useless to search contents. Visually the new one seems great, I'm looking forward to test it.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:31 AM
looks great, so glad they are changing it because with all the recent little changes they have been making its just awful and getting more complicated to use by the day.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:35 AM
Looks awesome :)Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:36 AM
I hope they make already downloads more easier to browse/searchThursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:40 AM
Looks nice - I just hope it actually works now. There were far too many times I looked where something should have been and it wasn't there.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:43 AM
I'm not too interested in how it looks, I just want to see a more functional downloads list and the promised web access to allow us to better interact with PSN through a browser (e.g. purchasing, messaging and deactivating old bricked machines). Hopefully that'll come along soon :)Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:45 AM
I have to LOL at this!!! EU getting it first, then NA???? Something fishy going on here... my guess is we that fall under EU are guinea pigs!Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:49 AM
What about our 0% when can we start delete them?Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:53 AM
Haven't I seen this before?Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:58 AM
I think it looks cool. Now all they to do is update the ps3 hub cause its looks really dated.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 08:58 AM
Looks sweet! Maybe a bit too dark? I hope they organised items better, sometimes I had to go through many categories before reaching what I was looking for.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 09:00 AM
Looks like it will take even longer to find stuff now. Xbox Marketplace totally sucks now with all the ads and menus that you have to search through. PSN actually made it easy to find the new releases, PS1/PS2 games and other stuff. Now it looks like you will need to dive into 3-4 menus to find the PS1 games and older PSN games...Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 09:33 AM
Glad people are referring to this redesign as Xbox Marketplace like. Haven't heard any problems with that.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 09:33 AM
Guess I wasnt the only one who thought it looks like the xbox marketplace. Not very happy about this, new is good, but this doesnt seem to be heading into the right direction. Pretty embarrassed for Sony right now!Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 09:33 AM
Please please please please please please please PLEASE say we can switch it back to the old format if(when) we decide that we don't like it, please!Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 09:39 AM
I want to be able to search by priceThursday, October 11, 2012 @ 09:42 AM
Looks so much nicer, we don't say it enough but well done sony!Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 09:53 AM
You should all watch "ill manors" great film :) I like the new look :)Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 09:53 AM
i like the new look.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 10:14 AM
looks like they combined the xbox live marketplace with steam.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 10:16 AM
My first impression was also that it looks too much like xbox shop.. I dont like carousel menus. Not here, not anywhere. I also don't think black looks "smart". Modern times have too little color in it. Using only shadows and lights makes everything so boring and . It's todays trend, and I hate it. If this is permanentIm getting worried they will make silly differences to the XMB too. Sony shouldn't think they will get more use for store if they turn it more generic. PS Store is unique, and all that carousel-scroll thing is straight from xbox/touch screen phone menus. XMB is Sony. They should let it be like it is until PS4.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 10:23 AM
Not a fan >.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 10:26 AM
I wish they would redesign how the trophy list is displayed. Condense it down some way so it isn't so long.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 10:33 AM
The new look isnt bad. Hopefullly now i can see title names against a black background, the blue was a strain on my eyes. Hopefully the download list will have folders for downloaded games, avatars, demos, themes etc. Not a bad look at all.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 10:41 AM
kind of looks the the xbox dash. but it still looks nice.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 10:46 AM
I hate the new look and I can't see it being any easier to use :(. @14: That will never happen, a lot of people want it to but it won't.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 10:52 AM
looks shitThursday, October 11, 2012 @ 10:54 AM
Well... It does look good and I do see a search bar which is very good, I don't like searching stuff manually at most times, takes way too long (like in the Xbox Marketplace). Looking forward to it, especially now that I can soon connect my consoles back to the internet...Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 11:10 AM
Looks like Xbox 360 nowThursday, October 11, 2012 @ 11:25 AM
I'm a regular customer, and I like the new design! I miss the episodes of Pulse though..... :(Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 11:39 AM
it's getting a little bit more like X-BOX 360. but the thing that I think that X-BOX has better than PS3 is that you can buy things with your achievements, which is something that you can't do with trophies on PS3Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 12:09 PM
while it visually looks smoother sleeker and cooler... i am not a fan of the metro layout that it loos likeThursday, October 11, 2012 @ 12:20 PM
It looks confusing? Why the change? It is already good and I can find everthing now.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 12:29 PM
could care less about the style, what about the substance. In other words, is it less confusing to find what I am looking for. Right now is not bad, but everything can always be improvedThursday, October 11, 2012 @ 12:53 PM
Redesign the XMB.. not the store D:Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 01:18 PM
About time. At times it would take ages to load and some stuff wouldn't load at all!Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 01:58 PM
I really hope with this update comes youtube app for ps3 and ps vita (finland and other countries missing those )Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 02:34 PM
Stop comparing people GODDAMN. It looks nice.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 02:36 PM
@44 make a US account if you want the You Tube app.. thats what I did :)Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 02:50 PM
*sees headline* Oh boy, this will be great! The current PS Store is kind of slow and poorly ogranized, so this has to be an improvement! They certainly can't make it any worse, right? *opens article, sees pictures* ... It looks like 360's metro dashboard on my Playstation. They found a way to make the Playstation Store worse. I'm just going to go see if Professor Farnsworth has room for me on his shuttle off this planet now. @37: It's 2012 and people STILL think GamerScore and Microsoft Points are the same thing? That's just beyond said, and another reason why I hope there's room for me on that shuttle.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 02:51 PM
Simplicity > Complexity It would be better if they had an option to switch back and forth between the current layout and their new layout instead. That way there will be no complaints.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 03:42 PM
Ew.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 04:11 PM
No sir, I don't like it.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 04:34 PM
Not diggin' it either..Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 04:54 PM
looks nice I like itThursday, October 11, 2012 @ 06:22 PM
They need to fix the download list page they need to remove demos from it and themes and group the items into the ABC thing like when you go to add ons but it only shows you the DLC you have bought not all games. Themes and DEMOS should be cleared off the download list completely as its just serious clutter.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 06:44 PM
@#54 I agree the two things that have needed to be improved were always the downloads list and the store, both were an eyesore. I especially have hate the way the downloads list can not have the option to look at demos, game downloads, and add ons on seperate sections rather than a cluster of all the above. As for the store, i think it would be a wise idea to have 3 different skins when going into the store to appease the general audience.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 09:51 PM
I really hope they organized your downloads to seperate Demos, DLC, Avatars etc.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 10:12 PM
people shut up with this xbox crap marketplace ps3 is where the money is at so SHUT THE FUCK UP and enjoy it..its about time we got a update on something damn.Thursday, October 11, 2012 @ 11:02 PM
i hate it . sony dont do it!!!Friday, October 12, 2012 @ 12:05 AM
I don't like it. It looks way too much like xbox marketplace and i really don't like that.Friday, October 12, 2012 @ 12:28 AM
First thought - looks nice. Second thought - I doubt it will be easier to use.Friday, October 12, 2012 @ 01:54 AM
I'm all about change as long as it's good and I hope it's easier to navigate.Friday, October 12, 2012 @ 05:27 AM
@56 I don't think so. Xbox gets a new dashboard soon and people are complaining about it.Friday, October 12, 2012 @ 05:56 AM
I'm surprised no one even compared the new look to Video Unlimited, which so happens to be a Sony service. It's identical to THAT.Friday, October 12, 2012 @ 02:45 PM
I think they should work om à app for smartphones and tabletts so you can live chat with your friends on psn instead of improve the design on psn store. Of course its Nice with good looking stores but à app for My iPad should be even beter:)Friday, October 12, 2012 @ 02:49 PM
I am damn excited for this more professional look that we see above. Excellent decision on the facelift that the PSN was OVERLY DUE for. Handsdown greatest change IMO is the very welcomed lack of this horrid blue mess I've been, (For WAY too many years.) forced to look at. THANK YOU SONY, SO SO SO SO much!!!!Friday, October 12, 2012 @ 03:10 PM
Hardly ever use the store but it does look much better.Saturday, October 13, 2012 @ 12:11 PM
looks like xbla now err when did microsoft take over?Saturday, October 13, 2012 @ 02:49 PM
I don't like the look of this, i had no problems browsing the old store, and please tell me there will be other colours availible than black, and please tell me that not all the menus will be carouseles i like the fact you can see more than two titles in front of or behind you at a time that is the benefit of normal menus, it feels like a lot of steps backwards to be honest.Tuesday, October 16, 2012 @ 07:51 PM
Its confirmed that the download list wont be changed but they are looking into that for a future updateThursday, October 18, 2012 @ 06:21 AM
Now they just need to do sort out the extortionate prices of digital downloads.Friday, October 19, 2012 @ 08:36 AM
I know I can't tell from the pics, but where do I see my downloads??? I don't see the option anywhere on the screenshots. In the "Old" PSN I had an option up there in the right side of the screen to track the history of downloads so that I could re-download an old game or dlc.Tuesday, October 23, 2012 @ 11:28 AM
I checked the "new store" on an EU account. Gotta say Im not a fan yet. Looks nicer, but too much like Xbox. My biggest complaint is the loading time. Not near as fast as our current store. Hopefully they fix that issue, but I wont hold my breath.Thursday, October 25, 2012 @ 01:11 PM
New store looks good, but id like to have seen a difference to the download list, maybe being split into catagories so its easier to redownload the stuffThursday, October 25, 2012 @ 04:46 PM
it's bad... it's like steam and xbox marketplace had sex and something terrible came outTuesday, October 30, 2012 @ 11:14 AM
Oct 30th.... they're still late.Tuesday, October 30, 2012 @ 11:15 AM
You guys haven't seen STEAM BIG PICTURE yet? That's what it more closely resembles, not Xbox.Thursday, November 08, 2012 @ 08:50 PM
November 8th WTF.Saturday, November 17, 2012 @ 10:23 AM
Worst update - redesign ever.... And more heavier as a store...Sunday, November 18, 2012 @ 10:46 AM
I like the new deign mostly because the background isn't blue. I can't tell you how frustrating it was and how many headaches I got trying to read white words on a blue background.Sunday, December 09, 2012 @ 02:18 PM
Given myself a while before reviewing this, thought I might grow to like it but I don't. 1 - Takes longer to load on and off 2 - Harder to find items 3 - Doesn't fit my tvMonday, December 24, 2012 @ 08:51 AM
really with this design with first update it was working good but once we got US Update it's started working very shit

Sony has today unveiled a completely new look for the PlayStation Store, which is set to arrive on the PlayStation Network next week. As well as a total overhaul, the PS Store will be getting a bunch of new features and increased functionality.
The storefront is a more visual affair, highlighting new content, alongside dedicated sections for games, movies and TV shows. You can also scroll through the pages form left to right, with a carousel set-up enabling you to easily leaf through content quicker and more easily than before.
The search facility has also been bolstered considerably, with better filters, a smarter search that starts looking based on the letters you enter, and spelling errors are also catered for. Searching for a game will present you with all of the DLC, demos and other related content, recommending similar titles in the process.
You'll also notice that it eschews the bright blue of the old PS Store for a smart black background. It all looks very aesthetically pleasing, we must say. The revamped PlayStation Store will be heading to PAL territories from October 17th, before being rolled out in North America on October 20th. Check out some grabs from the new PS Store below.
