I never had MW2 and in the only times I had it, I didn't notice it because I don't play multi much (Never got pass lvl 30 because the online sucked ass and I was going for platinum). But seriously, if they had made this complaint about 3 years ago (Not 4 like you said) then this argument would make sense. I'm on the fence here really. If enough people complained that it was a problem then Activision did the right thing here by pulling the map at least intill they can fix the problem. For some people Religion is a serious business and there are certain aspects of religions that people take offense to.
On the other hand there is freedom of speech and to me when it comes to Islam, there's a select group of Muslims who don't get the concept of freedom of speech. Their like the kid at school who's totally fine with mocking the fat kid but when he's turn comes, he screams and stamps up and down and bitches about how everyone is being mean to him. Every religion takes shit for our wacky rules and traditions, you don't see us Christians threatening to blow someone up because they drew a picture of God. Long as he's getting all the ladies and being a badass all the time like he usually is I'm cool with it. |

However, shifting the blame on it this time would be foolish. I sense Activision is more than happy to remove the map, and is using this as an excuse.
You see, MW2 becomes less replayable because of this cut content, and people will be more open to upgrading to MW3, BLOPS or BLOPS2. You catch my drift? This is just another underhanded business tactic by Activision, cleverly disguised as listening to a part of their fanbase. |

Now I am gonna explain something that might be a bit difficult for your closed-minded minds so pay extra attention :)
in Islam we have that bathrooms are not pure thus we don't say Allah's name who is our god, who we love and respect ( I know a lot of you might think that this is stupid but as I said closed-minded :) )
add up to that what is written is not only the name of Allah but it is only Hadeeth ( which is said by Allah who said it to prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him) who said it to us.
So that is clearly intended :)
It is really funny and sad how you are all judging us Muslims that we are extremists just because we love our religion and defend it!
and in what world is freedom of speech gives a free pass to mock others beliefs ! sad how you understand freedom of speech really, among a lot of other things !

@88 look you closed-minded zealot (see, works both ways) no one gives a fuck if you say it's offensive, do you know why? It's because if it really was offensive to Muslims, why did it take 4 years for you guys to get offended?
Before any more closed-minded god-bothering dicks pop their heads in for a little rant, make sure you answer the question above, and keep in mind that the whole close-minded thing can just as easily be applied to you.
In summary of why no one cares about Muslims getting offended, it's because they cry about the dumbest things (the LBP incident awhile ago which another poster brought up being one of the less dumb ones, remarkably) and then go on to harm people who had nothing to do with the thing (killing members of the British embassy in Cairo because of a film the Americans made, for example). |
