This is it folks, this is when things get crazy. From here on in it's wall-to-wall games. Big ones, huge ones, disappointing ones, surprising ones. All sorts. From now until December it's all go.

So to kick us off this week we have Resident Evil 6. Capcom's latest is an all singing, all dancing monster with hours of play time, numerous campaigns, quiet bits, scary bits, actiony bits and everything in between. But is it attempting too much at once? Rich's review will reveal all soon.

In the meantime, fans of sexy, game-packed boxes may also want to give the Resident Evil 6 Anthology a look. It contains Resident Evil Director’s Cut, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, Resident Evil 4 HD, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition and, of course, Resident Evil 6. That’s all the main games in the series in their ultimate form. Boom.

Elsewhere, the best basketball series on the planet returns with NBA 2K13. It’s this week’s other headline title. Other regions get a sprinkling of other games, all of which are listed below.

I'm getting RE6 but I'm split decision because of the demo. I could love it for the new movement system and the other various improvements or I could hate it because I seem to trip on fucking everything!!!! I would like to think a grown man who's gone through two of these outbreaks would now how to walk over a body!

the only thin on that list i've got atm is F1 2012. Not really a fan of anything else that's being released this week. I liked RE5 for the co-op during the campaign - playing while half drunk with your best mate is always a win :)

This list is incorrect in one regard, it states that according to ebgames.com.au Resident Evil 6 is not released this week, yet as of Tuesday October 2nd (a whole one day after this was posted, technically though only a few hours after due to time zone differences), Resident Evil 6 is available for purchase at the exorbitant price of $98 (That's only the standard edition).

If they released that anthology in the UK I'd probably get it as I haven't played any of the RE's but have watched playthroughs which have got me interested in the series
