| Ok I don't get it. not to long ago there was a article stating that they are no longer selling scripts to CoD elite and they had something else planned for bo2. Now it's back to elite staying just being revamped? |

Black Ops II really has to blow me away enough to pick up Elite again. Also, it'd be nice to not still have to wait a month after Xbox gets it I felt that kind of defeated the purpose. I mean, you did get it about a month before non-elite memebers on PS3, but it still sucked d*** having to still wait at least a month and we were paying for the damn service. |

@1 Elite is free. But if you think developers are going to just give you DLC for free that took time and resources to create...then you must be dim. I see they are still ignoring telling people about Elite and the special editions, even after Amrich said there would be something said about it during September. Guess Activision wants the full profit from Elite subscription sales this go around. |

@#2 The problem is with you're statement, is completely illogical. Do you realize that many people work to pay the bills and only have enough left over for a few video games in the year? Or that some teenagers barely have enough money to buy these things every year? I think it is only fair that if people paid 60$ for the game they should get everything that they paid for and have the updates for free via a code in the box. I do not mind Call Of Duty Black Ops 2, but i do have something against this "service" that squeezes money out of peoples pockets that paid full price for the game, and now pay an extra amount of money that could have went to another game, or something that they wanted to spend their money on. The so called "New" updates should be patches to those that paid full price and have a code to get these updates for free and not be another thing to pay for. There has to come a time Black Ops fans, when you have to say if paying extra money after paying for the game is really worth it, especially when you know you deserve better for pre-ordering the game in the first place. The only way it will ever be free is pure and simple, do not buy these "Elite" packages, especially knowing if you are not playing it throughout the year. |

@#7 In a sense it should be free if people have pre-ordered and paid the full price for the game, or the price of the "Elite" package is cheap either way they did pay the devolopers their money's worth and in essence the "Elite" Package could just be paying them again for what was paid in. The thing is it might have taken time and resources, but you have to question weather or not it is really worth paying for the "Elite" Package when in the price range of 30$-50$ you could pay for another game, some food on you're table, or maybe save it for something else. It is just silly to say that it should be worth the cost or it should not be free if people paid for it and did not buy it new. |

| OK, will it work at the start? will they wait 6 months before they implement anything? Will they tell us bull shit? Maybe, but i hope they can take a page from mw3 and not fuck this up again. |

| Since it doesn't come with hardened edition this time around there is no need to buy this. I'll just wait for my maps this time |

@8/9 That's entirely why DLC is OPTIONAL. So what if you don't have enough money to buy more than five video games a year? It's a free market, you choose what to spend your money on. You can choose to spend money on another game or chose to buy DLC to extend the entertainment value of a game you already have - either way you are spending money. Why do you feel that DLC should be free? If you are so worried about yourself and getting freebies, why not think about the many devs who work on the DLC content - don't they deserve to be paid for their work, or should they go without paychecks because people like you have a false sense of entitlement? How would you like it if your boss told you you weren't getting a paycheck next week but you still had to work? Doesn't seem fair, does it? Seriously, nobody is pointing a gun to the back of your head forcing you or anyone else to buy Elite subscriptions. It's an OPTION that exists for people to potentially save money. |

I am legitimately interested in this game, but I must admit that this whole Elite thing is confusing. It was billed as a DLC rental program for the entire series at 80% of the face value of the cost, right? Then, it suddenly became a per-game DLC rental program at 80% of the face value of the cost. Is the only benefit saving $10 and statistics? But, you pay up front for all the DLC at once, right? And, you end up paying net $40 more if you want the DLC after one year right? This seems like a terrible deal! |

@#16 "That's entirely why DLC is OPTIONAL. So what if you don't have enough money to buy more than five video games a year? It's a free market, you choose what to spend your money on. You can choose to spend money on another game or chose to buy DLC to extend the entertainment value of a game you already have - either way you are spending money. " Yeah i can read you're caps lock text on optional, i know it is optional. But the problem is you are only speaking from you're opinion rather than real world experience of what people face when buying or purchasing a good or service. Yes the DLC is to extend value, but what i am trying to suggest is maybe that if someone pre-ordered full price for the game, should they not get that for free? Or get it for a cheaper price for paying full for it? It really could benefit to more sales down the road. "Why do you feel that DLC should be free? If you are so worried about yourself and getting freebies, why not think about the many dev's who work on the DLC content - don't they deserve to be paid for their work, or should they go without paychecks because people like you have a false sense of entitlement? How would you like it if your boss told you you weren't getting a paycheck next week but you still had to work? Doesn't seem fair, does it? " Before i respond to you're comment, i want to say that you need to do you're research before you make up statements like that. Besides 2/3 of what you are saying is based on pure opinion and attacking me based on reasonable posts i have made. Now let's get on with the reply's. Nobody loses their job over DLC, they lose their job because of the lack of sales of a video game, that is how each person is paid, and DLC is just bonus money or recoup back money lost due to gaming sales. By seeing Black Ops 2's pre-order numbers i would say the employees will be in business for quite a few years down the road and nobody is really going to lose their job. Therefore what you have stated is passing opinion as knowledge rather than looking up you're sources or understanding how economics works. I think personally you read one word of my statement and think i want the gamers to have it for free and somehow i am an "Entitlement" person. What you are doing is taking my words out of context and then directing an attack on me based on words i have said. Here is what i said and i will reqoute myself in this comment section "it should be free if people have pre-ordered and paid the FULL PRICE for the game, or the price of the "Elite" package is CHEAP". This pretty much means that i think those who pre-ordered should get this for free, or it should be made affordable to 10-15 dollars, not anymore than that. Because if a lot of young gamers learned is that the 50$ worth that many people who paid for Black Ops 1 was not worth it especially when i believe other good games were in during the winter season. Anyways i will end this off, by telling you say what you want against me, i probably can not convince you of being reasonable and therefore will not argue back against a person who will always think they are right, rather than meeting in the middle. |
