Activision has today announced the next 007 Legends mission ahead of the game's release next month, revealing that 1964 Bond classic Goldfinger will be alongside the previously revealed On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Moonraker, Licence to Kill, Die Another Day and Skyfall missions.

Revolving around Operation Grand Slam, a plot to steal valuable gold bullion from Fort Knox, Goldfinger sees Bond coming up against the eponymous villain and his henchman, Oddjob. As well as the hat throwing menace, you'll also get to see Pussy Galore, whose likeness (provided by actress Honor Blackman) appears to be in the game too. It's even got the iconic laser up the nadgers scene.

Of course, you won't be playing the Goldfinger mission as Sean Connery sadly, but the Goldfinger mission is still looking pretty damn exciting. Check out the trailer and five new screenshots below for a first look at Goldfinger in 007 Legends. The game is out on October 16th in North America and October 19th in Europe.

I havent played a bond game since Quantum of solace. The reason was that they sucked.(and Quantum wasnt too far from it either)Goldeneye and nightfire were the best ones in my opinion, but ive played almost all of them. This may be the one to bring me back.

Honestly, why dont they take the time and money to make a series of games involving each movie? It would be better that way.

@1 Im pretty sure is that by the time they finish them, not many people would care about the game. It's like this: The movie comes out, we must release this game that was in development right now. If A bond movie came out today, and you started to make the game today as well then took 2 years to make it good, not many people would be interested since it's a 2 year old movie based game or because a new bond movie came out. See where Im going with this? Besides, this is Activision we are talking about. It should come as no surprise by this point of any game they publish. Let's just hope that it's good.

@2 GoldenEye 007 came out almost 2 years after the film, and it was an enormous success. I'd much rather they took the time and put some serious effort in, because then we're more likely to get something good. Everyone knows film-based games rushed into production so they meet a cinema release date ALWAYS suck.

@3 I think you misunderstood me. I meant that most movie based games release at the same time as the movies. Of course people need to take time to make the games a success. And I didn't know GoldenEye 007 took 2 years to make the game and I know of how good it was. Im just stating modern day movie game standards in my opinion.
