God of War: Ascension Release Dates Revealed, Plus Special Edition Info

God of War: Ascension finally has a release date, for the regions outside of North America. The muscle-bound prequel will release in mainland Europe on 13th March, Australia and New Zealand on 14th March, and the UK & Ireland on 15th March.

In addition to this the Special Edition and Collector’s Editions have also been detailed. 

The Collector’s Edition will feature a 8″ Kratos figurine, the official game soundtrack (digital version), a dynamic theme for PS3, an avatar pack, a double XP bonus for multiplayer and a DLC pass to unlock all future DLC for the game. It comes in a  SteelBook case.

The Special Edition, meanwhile, comes with the soundtrack, the PS3 dynamic theme and avatar pack, and the multiplayer double XP bonus. It’s also packaged in a SteelBook case.

God of War: Ascension is out in North America on March 12th. Here's a preview.

CAN'T WAIT! David Jaffe you bad ass. The new Twisted Metal was a meager disappointment BUT-- God of War has never steered me wrong C: I will be pre-ordering. Does all this glorious loot come in the NA edition? x_x

I plan on getting the saga collection in the next week or so. Might have to fork out some dough for the collectors edition of this, sounds like some great extras. I just hope the mp doesn't take away from the single player at all, and hopefully no mp trophies, or at least make them Uncharted style mp trophies.

@4 David Jaffe has nothing to do with God of War anymore. He created the series but left SCE Santa Monica after GOW II.

@17 exactly, it just seems too 'safe' for me. Tell a new story after GOWIII, I am sure there is one. They didn't want to bother thinking up a good story so they went with a prequel which I am sure will be fun, great action and all but like I said earlier, it feels "blah..." since it is a prequel and we all know what eventually happens.

double XP bonus for multiplayer
\This is NOT what GOW needs.
Now theres going to be trophies with max out all classes , & come in MVP place in a match, win all game types and other crappy trophies

I for one am going to give it a chance. I don't even play multiplayer really in any game, but I'm going to try it out for this one. C'mon guys/gals let's test the beta when it comes out and see for ourselves if the multiplayer aspect is worth it. Now that I have 100% on all of the GOW's, I know that I would want it even for the multiplayer. Sad isn't it.....

Some games are best left alone...
Think Dead space 2,the multiplayer in that was sucky as hell.
But it got so much biuld of hype. LIKE THIS GAME IS getting
