Marvel vs. Capcom Origins has a release date. The re-tooled compilation of Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes will hit the PlayStation Network from September 25th for $14.99.

The fighters are arcade perfect (dur), but also include a number of new-fangled options and upgrades, including GGPO-enhanced online play, lobbies, spectator modes, HD graphical updates, challenges and replay saving.

There’s a selection of new screens below, with plenty more in the game’s gallery.

I'm sorry, but that just seems too expensive for these two games. It's nostalgic and all, but they are 15+ year old games. They don't even look like they did much to them.

@1 "arcade perfect" meaning they wanted to keep the game to its original form as close as possible, graphics included for those who played it years ago. This isn't any HD remix of any sort nor did they mention that they were going to redo the spites with filters or anything the same way they did 3rd Strike (to my knowledge, didn't really keep up with this one).

14.99 is expensive ? Isn't that the price for most PSN titles today ? I don't see why its an issue for this one as well one that comes with two games as well.

CA$HCOM what a surprise! Every PSN game you drop, we can always expect it to be atleast $15 or more and never include a platinum. Also, no need to wait on a price drop in the PS store, as you never seem to discount your games.

I'll get this. I WILL NOT pay $20 for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, though...

Awesome game, but I certainly wouldn't pay $15 for it.

LOL Another one of these? How many MvC games are they going to release within a year? Are they trying to outdo their record of last year?

After RE6, I'm only interested in DD2 and Remember Me, then Capcom's kaput with me. And, RE6 is only a day one buy to play with my girlfriend... otherwise it'd be a used bargain bin buy.

2 games for 14.99 isn't bad folks. I know most of you are pretty sore at Capcom for their latest marketing plunders, but you're getting not 1...but 2 games with trophies for $15. How is that too expensive? Now that damn JoJo's Bizarre is a less popular title with a hefty price tag. I'm waiting for it to show up on the plus. I'm definitely getting this first day. I loved both games and enjoyed them in the past.

@1
It's cheaper then SF2T HD and isn't even released yet. What're whining about?
I am a MVC WHORE so i'm way keen. It'll be a first day buy and considering how much time I plan to put into them it's quite reasonably priced.

Also games for 10+ years back are better then the games released these days.
At least in terms of storyline. It's all about graphics and shipping out the next beautiful looking piece of crap these days with check points every 30 seconds. -_-

@6
Actually Capcom do discounts every now and then. A month and a half+ ago they had SF2T HD, Resident Evil Chronicles HD Bundle, Resident Evil 4 and Veronica X HD Bundle and Resident Evil Gold all discounted. So I dunno what you're talking about.
Jeez you act like Capcom are Bethesda. lol

@3 and 7
I'm with you guys. I'm looking forward to it.
^_^

I'm pretty sure this game is going to get DLC somehow. It's Capcom we're talking about after all.

JUGGERNAUT!!!!!!!!!!!! Was gonna give it a miss until I saw it came with Marvel Super Heroes... definite yes :D At some point anyway. Man, I remember playing it at the arcade when I was younger. Awesome news :D $15 for two games isnt really that bad though... not sure why people think it's too expensive.
As far as I'm concerned, Capcom can keep releasing games. Works fine for me... not like they're twisting anyone's arm to buy them :)

I was looking for a chance to revisit these fighting game classics, but didn't have them anymore. So when it comes to anything Marvel I'm sold, even if Capcom (also a favorite) decides it's time to cash in on some oldies but goodies. The boss battles are greatness!
