Call of Duty: Black Ops II

More Details on Black Ops II Care Package and Hardened Editions, Including Unboxing Vid

Yesterday Activision and Treyarch unveiled the Care Package and Hardened Editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Today we’ve got a price, a trailer and a new unboxing vid from the developers themselves.

The best thing is the unboxing vid, where you get to see the RC Drone in action. It’s part of the Care Package and it’s properly amazingly brilliant. Also, the way game design director David Vonderhaar catches it is pretty cool.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II Hardened Edition will set you back $80/£69.99, while the Care Package costs $180/£159.99.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is out on November 13th. Catch our latest preview here.

Cheers Joseph0714.

Ok I'm probably gonna get the Hardened Edition, because I don't care that much for the Dragonfire, even though it looks badass, but what I care about is the in-game content and that's why I'd like to pick the Hardened Edition instead! Great work Treyarch!

Can't view the vid on my phone so can anyone tell me if they mentioned whether Elite subs included? For £160 I should hope so as even with it that'd be £40-50 game, £40 Elite and then nigh on £80 for the drone (and you can pick up fairly decent 4ch RC choppers for £40-60 last time I looked)

Usually pre-order, may take awhile for some places to get their pre-orders up...or be store exclusive

Just to inform you guys, I pre-ordered the Care Package Edition from GAME, in the UK, as it is only available there. Hardened Editions can be found at such places as GAME and GameStop. :)

$180 is £115 at the current exchange rate. How can it possibly be uplifted to £160 for the UK release?

Im sorry if any of you guys like it but tbh, that looks like a tool box, and the drone? well the black foam thing looks very cheap as well as the actual casing around the body of it, i mean if im wrong and its not cheap poopy material then hate me, but if it is, i mean come on, you make millions from call of duty at list give us something that looks like it wont break if it hits a tree

How about rather then blowing money on all this useless junk, you use that money to assemble a real care package for a starving homeless person?

Actually nevermind, fuck homeless people. I'm gonna tie Twinkies to my drone and fly it over their heads, just out of reach.

I will probably get the hardened edition. I don´t really want to pay that much more for a box and a dragonfly

@14 and 15

Alot of people like physical stuff, so to keep all fans happy some people make 2 editions of special editions, one mostly dlc and the other physical to keep people (such as myself) happy, people complain too much dlc that makes "collectors" editions not so much collectable (I hate those jewel case collectors editions with only a slip sheet that makes it any different), as well as you lot that prefer the alternative...

For comment 14 mostly, looks cheap but it is functional, and it will break IF you get rough with it, its cheap looking because in order to fly and look the part it has to be light...making it sturdy and it'll be even bigger and bulkier, and the edition's price will jump 10 fold...

That said alot of collectors editions stuff is made cheaply to make its price competitively, take skyrim's dragon for example how it's a 2 piece plastic thing...only good one was crysis 2's statue which lights up and is made well...

Overall, don't like, don't buy, feel free to give opinions but try to think from a marketing view to avoid being poked ;)

"The Future is Black" LOL yeah but 90% of peoples bank accounts will be in the Red

hardened looks... ok, Sainsbury's Entertainment has it for £59.99, as for the Care Package Edition it looks like spending £160 on a cheap Black and Decker toolbox full of disappointment, I refer to the quadrotor which is probably as shoddy built and has crappy low range like the RC XD car from the previous edition, my brother was kicking himself for buying that crap.

$180 for a game? That's insane! Well, I spent $150 on Skyrim, so I can't talk. :P
