BioWare has released a trailer for Mass Effect 3's upcoming Leviathan add-on, which promises to feature a fresh chunk of single-player content.

Taking place during the events of Mass Effect 3, the add-on introduces new characters, weapons and upgrades as Shepard and the gang race around space on the trail of a mysterious foe. "Something lurks in the dark corners of space," says the blurb, "something powerful enough to kill a Reaper. Shepard must discover the most closely guarded secret in the galaxy before the Reapers silence it forever. "

There's also talk of the add-on altering the ending of the game somewhat. Again.

Leviathan hits on August 28th. Trailer's below.

To be honest, i enjoyed the endings of the game.
I don't understand why people didn't like them. To me, I'm glad it ended the way it did. And not leave you thinking or confused about it. That's just what I think.

@2 Because it gave no conclusion, you work your ass to keep all your squadmate to survive just to not see a conclusion for each of them.

And the promise every single choices you make will affect the ending when in the end, only few choices mattered.

Didn't hate the endings, was just a bit too much space magic for me. But with THAT music, they could've made it the Silent Hill 2 dog ending for all I care and I would still have shed some tears.

SP DLC sounds good, will get this. Wanted to replay the game anyways to get to see the new ending.

Finished the game twice and loved it - i'll probably get this if it's 3+ hours and something akin to Lair of the Shadow Broker - big decent DLC but if it's same 1 hour size of From Ashes DLC then no thanks.

Unless it's £3 :)

@ #9 -- Technically can't guarantee a "Game of the Year" Edition will hit. Mass Effect 2 never got one, AFAIK. (Though the PS3 version does have all of the DLC built in, except Arrival.)

Investigating cave paintings to find signs of an ancient alien race with the power to destroy us all? Just don't touch the black goo, Shepard.
