Is that logo big enough? Sheesh! This is all well and good, but until we see numbers, screenshots and gameplay it's kind of a pointless comment. |

I was listening to the radio on Tuesday and there was a quick tech talk. The guy was talking about Thunderbolt replacing USB, cell phones having a terabyte of memory soon and how Blu-Ray will be replaced within the next 5 years. He was saying that everything will be holographic (3D?). So if this is true, won't generation consoles be pointless since I'm sure both the next gen XBOX and PS4 will have Blu-Ray? Just makes me question how realistic the graphics will be, with next gen, if things MIGHT be moving over to holographic in the near future. And how much more realism holographic images could improve games |

| Given how infinitely powerful modern pc hardware is over the 7 year old ps3 hardware (which was 1-2 years old at time of release as it was) its no surprise. Not to mention the excuse for a CPU that the cell is.Modern pc games are actually mindblowing with real hardware,at real resolutions |

| 3D hasn't taken off like HD did, the problem with 3D is you've got to wear 3D Glasses to watch your 3D TV. Until they've got better tech (which they are already working on) 3D in the home is just a novelty at the moment. Consoles are big business, people would have to be mad to think consoles cannot do better then what they already doing. |

| I'll believe the next generation of consoles is a massive improvement when I actually get to experience it first hand. Right now, I'll enjoy my PS3 and keep saving for that Gaming PC I want in the next year or so. Until that "quantum leap" I'll keep making the joke that a "quantum leap" would be so insubstantially small, that you wouldn't even notice it. |

And now a Quantum Leap reference. Love it! The next generation will mostly be about graphics. I can't see what else it could be that makes a new generation worth it. |

| Quantum Leap forward? Please, everyone knows that current mid-range PCs are already more powerful than next gen consoles and by the time the next gen hits the difference will be even more telling. |

Hopefully they work on AI(friendly and enemy) and difficulty. Those areas need a quantum leap forward. Enemy and Friendly AI are still extremely stupid and unrealistic. Enemy AI are either too stupid to find you or always know exactly where you are at like a giant neon sight is behind you. Friendly AI seem to be programmed to make the game harder rather than actually help your character like they should. Difficulty levels need improvement as well. The higher difficulty levels in games seem to like to just make enemies overpowered and extremely cheap and/or make the playable character a pansy. |

A quantum leap forward would be smell-o-vision and feel-o-vision. Next gen console won't be much different to a top of the range PC running top GPU card. |

| Dunno, not every game has taken the bluray to the top capacity -size speaking- most games for the PS3 waste to much disc space not to mention that the publishers are developing their own engines, what exactly will be a new gen console? im not a big fan of the 3D so what its the next improvement on the way? |

@14 and 17, Yeah, not sure how many people in the gaming industry actually know anything at all about particle physics, but it does make for quite the comical comment for those that actually understand electron transitions to higher or lower energy levels. Not saying that there aren't any people in the industry that don't find quantum mechanics interesting, it just clearly isn't this guy at Remedy. |
