LEGO: Lord of the Rings Will Feature 85 Playable Characters

The rather charming looking LEGO: Lord of the Rings will feature a whopping 85 playable characters, including some that did not appear in the movie adaptations, say devs Traveller’s Tales.

Taking place during the Second Age and based on maps from the original Tolkien novels, the game will attempt to offer a complete recreation of Middle Earth, with all the familiar locations and more.

You’ll be able to traverse the entirety of Middle Earth, or if you’re feeling a bit lazy, take advantage of an instant travel feature. "We wanted much bigger and better than just having hubs that lead to playthroughs of the films," said TT Games' Nick Ricks.

In addition to this, the game will also feature dialogue taken from the films themselves, snippets of which you can hear in the latest trailer.

LEGO: Lord of the Rings is out in Autumn 2012.

	Not bought a lego game for a long long time but if I can play as Lobelia Sackville-Baggins I'm in :P

	I have yet to play any of the Lego games. This one is on my list for sure though.

	Definitely getting this. Every Lego game is fun, some the same as others, but still fun. C'mon, it's Legos!
