Gamescom 2012 has seen a whole load of LittleBigPlanet-related announcements, asset releases and updates. We’ve touched on some of it, but following the PS Blog’s lead, we thought we’d round it all up in one easy to digest post.

Here we go.

First up LittleBigPlanet Karting, which will be zooming into stores in North America on November 6th and Europe on November 7th. The creative racer has a new trailer below, plus one screen. There's load more new 'uns through here.

There’s a trailer for LittleBigPlanet Vita too. The little(big) pocket-sized version of the game is out on 19th September in Europe and 25th September in North America.

In addition to this, Sony has also announced a rather nifty cross-compatibility feature that will run across all the games in the series. It means that if you buy a costume in LittleBigPlanet, you’ll also be able to access it in LittleBigPlanet 2, LittleBigPlanet Vita and LittleBigPlanet Karting.

All of your existing costumes will carry over too, with the exception of the Assassin's Creed and April Fools Fragrance outfits. It might also take a while for every single costume to become compatible. But still! If only every publisher was so generous.
