Capcom are releasing a new demo for Dragon’s Dogma next week, exclusive to PlayStation 3 owners.

The demo will feature the game’s Prologue, including access to the character customization screen and an early quest which sees you battling with a dirty great big Hydra.

As with the original demo, players will be able to carry their character’s save data into the full main game.

You can grab the demo from the PlayStation Network on August 15th in Europe and on August 21st in North America.

This is one of the biggest surprises of 2012, it's such an amazing game, and if they're offering another demo for undecided people to try, that's great news for them, especially since it offers a boss fight, they're SO fun, infact, just fighting giant enemies like ogres and dragons (That you can find randomly around the map) feels so epic!

Can't wait for the sequel :D

That's pretty impressive. Since the demo is going up to the Hydra battle, that's really 7 main quests offered in the demo. Not sure how the demo will work, but it's enough to persuade players into buying their game.

Agreed, jbrist.

I have to admit, though, I passed it off at first for a single player, Monster Hunter wannabe with magic and overused monsters. But it ended up sucking 106 hours out of me to the final boss, and even more still.

Compared to the likes of other open world RPGs, like Skyrim, its a breath of fresh air with its combat and design. Skyrim didn't really bring anything new to the table, other than magical yelling...

Warning to anyone that notices slow framerates and was wanting to buy this, this game is one of the worst out there on consoles for framerate problems. It runs at around 25fps with constant drops in some areas and areas with a lot of stuff going on. It is exceedingly noticeable at the beginning of the game. Made me drop it and I won't bother unless it comes to PC and I can get an acceptable framerate that looks like I'm not playing on a slideshow.

The framerate is indeed really slow on occasions.

Take out your Mystic Knight character and fire four Great Cannons at once, and you will see lag like nothing ever seen on a console. If there ever was a four player co-op, I cannot even imagine how much hell sixteen Great Cannons would cause.

I hope it comes free to PS+ someday.

(The game, not the demo, the demo already is free)

Just buy the game already. It's totally worth what the price is.
