Trio of Indie Titles Heading Free to PS Plus Members, Including Knytt Underground

A trio of indie titles are headed to PlayStation Plus subscribers for free, as part of the PlayStation Plus Presents promotion.

The games are Knytt Underground, Big Sky Infinity, plus a third currently unnamed game, all published by Ripstone. 

Knytt Underground is the latest in the Knytt Series, a revered set of indie platforming titles, while Big Sky Infinity is the sequel to Really Big Sky, a procedurally generated, hypnotic shoot ‘em up.

Playable across PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, all three games will be free for eight weeks after launch later this year.

Ripstone’s co-founder and creative director, Phil Gaskell said. “This is an extremely important partnership for Ripstone, and positions our indie titles and the extremely talented developers behind them as being some of the best in Europe.”

Good choice +3 games to my collection, the only thing that I would like they have is a platinum trophybut well 3 games for free is good enough

I got 30 days of PS+ for free and thought I was stupid to forget to cancel it before they charged me eighteen bucks for the next three months. But now I'm starting to think it was one of the better mistakes I ever made :)

really its good seeing their was some indie i got free with plus and like them. never would have gotten them otherwise

Thanks for breaking this story, but what region(s) does this apply to? Since your website services both the EU and USA, this is totally ambiguous without a citation. Please clarify...

@10 yeah, if theyre minis, who really cares? ive never downloaded a mini and dont plan to start now. plus, minis are like 1-3 bucks, so it wouldn't be much of a deal. certainly not newsworthy. (no offence intended towards ps3t)

I know Xbox have the rights to Minecraft, but could we have a minecraft inspired game please? ...Xbox have a few indy games which are similar to Minecraft, heres hope'n PS3 get somthing similar too, now with the news were getting Indy games.
