Deep Silver is set to return to the Sacred universe for side-scrolling PSN brawler Sacred Citadel, which sees three warriors banding together to fight an evil threatening to enslave Ancaria. You'll battle the Grimmoc, modified Orc armies created by Lord Zane's Ashen Empire who at war with the Seraphim. You'll use each characters skills to support one another, with hack and slash gameplay that'll aim to "reinvent the familiar arcade feel of classic brawlers". Choosing from several character classes, like the Safiri Warrior, Ancarian Ranger and the Khukuri Shaman, you'll also be able to utilise each character's different skill sets with further scope for upgrades through RPG features and collectible items. Each character will also be able to dual-wield two weapons, unleashing devastating fluid combo attacks, while they'll also have the ability to perform double jumps, ride mounts and use war machines. There'll also be shops scattered across the world where you can spend your collected cash on items and weapons. Sacred Citadel will be heading to the PlayStation Network with a three player drop-in/drop-out co-op mode and a prologue story that'll lead up to the events of action RPG sequel Sacred 3. Both Sacred Citadel and Sacred 3 will be launching in 2013. | |
