'Rain' and 'Until Dawn' Trademarks Filed by Sony

Sony Computer Entertainment has filed trademarks for two titles that could potentially be revealed at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany next week. 'Rain' and 'Until Dawn' were recently registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market respectively.

Until Dawn first surfaced in April 2010, with the aforementioned trademark filed on May 4th, 2012. Rumours point to a horror title for PlayStation Move, according to OnlySP, while Rain was registered on July 8th, 2012 and is thought to be a PS3 action title that could be in development at inFamous developer Sucker Punch.

Could we be looking at two high-profile game announcements for Sony's Gamescom press conference on August 14th at 6pm GMT? We'll be there to bring you the lowdown from Cologne.

I hope one of them really is a new Sucker Punch IP. Love their games.

My guess is that Rain is a new game from Sucker Punch and Until Dawn is survival horror move title (Hopefully can be played with a Dualshock too) from Guerilla Games as they announced they had 3 games in development! This is why i have a PS3 who needs timed exclusives when you got a company like Sony pumping out exclusive after exclusive!

@1 im with you. Although seeing as God of War Acension is coming out, and sony decided to bring the full collection, it does bring to mind why they chose inFamous aswell out of everything, so im hoping for inFamous 3, but yeah if not am sure ill enjoy whatever from them ^.^

@3 To be honest, I hope they never make an inFamous 3, it just wouldn't work unless they pull some sort of Pokémon stunt and release a Blue and Red version or something, lol...

@4 that would be interesting. They could kinda change there concept though and just have a evil/good campaign instead of making karmic choices. It would be different but the gameplay is what really draws me to the games, the karmic choices are just there :P
