No they won't have trophy support. Doom 1 and 2 are being thrown in as extras. Meaning they will not be remastered but instead will likely just have an HD filter thrown on to slightly improve the quality. Doom 3 will likely have a platinum trophy but the other 2, i doubt they will get anything. They are being packed as an extra...think of Metal Gear 1 and 2 that came with MGS3.
If they do have trophies though, they will likely be straight copy and paste lists of the achievements for the Xbox360 versions. You can see them on the sister site...and those achievements are not fun at all. |

Doom 2 would have required a Pt list for sure. It is far too big to just settle for 12 wimpy trophies. It will take too much to 100% the game outright, and pretty much impossible to beat on Nightmare mode. Any Par Time trophy will make you rip your scalp off in anger, save for a "Beat par time in 1 level" trophy.
We can settle for 12 trophies for Doom 1, especially since it's more in tune with Wolfenstein 3D (except maybe Episode 4).
Oh, yeah! It was always fun setting up a bitch match between a Cyberdemon and Spiderdemon by crossing their sights on each other. You'd stay there just to see who would win, then fly before the other clocks you with either a rocket or a chaingun. |
