Medal of Honor: Warfighter

Medal of Honor: Warfighter To Feature a New Linkin Park Song (Again)

Those Medal of Honor fellas love a bit of Linkin Park it seems, as the incoming sequel, Medal of Honor: Warfighter is to follow in the footsteps of its predecessor with its own new Linkin Park track. Apparently, it's a "warrior-inspired" (eh?) song called "Castle of Glass" that is also included on the band's no. 1 album 'Living Things'.

In addition to contributing a new song to the game, Linkin Park's co-lead vocalist and co-producer Mike Shinoda has also composed original in-game scores for Warfighter that promise to evoke "depth and emotion".

“Linkin Park’s involvement with the 2010 reboot of Medal of Honor was a hugely positive experience for all of us,” said Shinoda. “The opportunity to take this creative collaboration several steps further was something that we knew we had to be a part of.”

Granted, this is something that only the Linkin Park fans will care about, but there's a few of them out there, right? Check out the behind the scenes video below for more on the band's collaboration on Medal of Honor: Warfighter, which is out on October 23rd in North America and October 26th in Europe.

Never a bad idea to have Linkin Park promoting Medal of Honor. Castle of Glass was good in its own way

I trust Shinoda making some scores for the new MoH, they'll be great. It was pretty ham when you finished the last game and had The Catalyst start playing, so I'm expecting something similar this time around.

Linkin Park is awesome. I don't see why some people don't like the song even though they haven't heard the song yet.

Medal of Honor 2010 was severely underrated, Linkin Park is severely underrated. I'm confident that once again they'll deliver.

Theys should have used Lost in the Echo instead of Castle of Glass. Then people wont be calling Linkin Park "a shitty band". Castle of Glass is a good song but I don't think it matches MOH but Lost in the Echo could have.

@11 Activision have multiple devs pumping out a game a year for the same franchise... Call of Duty. Atleast EA are mixing it up, Medal of Honour one year, Battlefield another, one game every two years from their franchises, lol. It's when we see Medal of Honour and Battlefield release in the same year every year that you want to be concerned, lol

@13.. Its the same fucking engine for Medal of Honor and Battlefield as its the Same fucking enigne for Black Ops and Modern Warfare..

Just because Black Ops and Modern Warfare are branded with "Call of Duty" doesn't change the fact that its the SAME EXACT thing that EA is now doing..

In other words..

Black Ops and Modern Warfare are running the same engine with tweaks here and there.. and are made by different developers.. while Medal of Honor and Battlefield are running the same engine with tweaks here and there.. and are made by different developers..

good song. seems like it might suit the game, but who knows at this stage? thier songs for the transformer films fitted perfectly though, as well as the catalyst for MoH2010. Looking forward to this game! :)

@15 Actually the first Medal of Honour used the Unreal Engine for the singleplayer, but yeah it did use the Frostbite engine for multiplayer (Because DICE did that half of the game)

I know what you mean though, but let's face it, Medal of Honour and Battlefield 3 felt more like two different games than Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3 did, don't you think? I mean, I did but yeah that's just me, lol.

Either way it doesn't bother me, as long as the game is good I'm fine with how many games they make per year...

@13 and 15 you guys are idiots and really lame trolls. the engine may be the same but as you can see the games are fundamentally different in many ways. Medal of honor is a flashier more stylish fps that has a realistic but more along the lines of a special forces game. Battlefield is more feeling like a regular soldier, giving you all the different tools regular soldiers get. COD is about explosions tactic less MP and exploitation of in-game bugs .

I can't believe anyone is daft enough to not like Linkin Park. One of the best bands of the late 20th and early 21st century.

CoD has good games but can't begin to be compared to Battlefield or MoH in any way, because the experience in CoD in my opinion is inferior in every way.

Cool I guess? I'm not picking up the game, and I've heard the song but it isn't as good as everyone seems to make it out to be.
