Activision has announced that the Transformers: Fall of Cybertron demo will be available to download later today on the US PlayStation Network before it releases tomorrow on the EU PSN, offering two single-player missions and a dose of multiplayer, including the opportunity to try out the new character customisation features.

The demo's first mission picks up with Bumblebee on the escaping Autobot ark starship as it attempts to take off and evacuate Cybertron. You'll have to help stave off a heavy attack from Megatron and his Decepticon hordes. The second mission meanwhile, sees you taking to the skies as helicopter Combaticon, Vortex. You can change from robot to helicopter to jet, and engage in airborne firefights.

Finally, the demo gives you access to the multiplayer character customisation, before letting you loose in the Team Deathmatch and Conquest online modes. You'll be able to download the Transformers: Fall of Cyberton demo later today on the US PSN, while the EU PSN demo will be coming on August 1st. The full game is out on August 21st in North America and August 24th in Europe.
