Max Payne 3 Weapon Balancing Update Now Live

Rockstar has announced that a number of tweaks for Max Payne 3's arsenal of multiplayer weapons has recently gone live, based on the raft of user feedback submitted by the multiplayer community via the MaxFeedback@rockstargames.com email address.

The changes have been introduced to help adjust the weaponry online, using the feedback information to add to the overall balance of Max Payne 3's multiplayer action. There's a whole array of weapon adjustments that have been added, and you can leaf through them all below:

RPG

  • Starting ammunition reduced
  • Projectile will no longer ricochet or skim off smooth surfaces

.38 Revolver

  • Effective range increased

DE .50

  • Accuracy and effective range slightly increased
  • Starting ammunition increased
  • Resolved an issue that prevented the Gas Systems Kit attachment from granting the correct damage bonus

608 Bull

  • Starting ammunition increased

Mini-30

  • Slightly lowered rate of fire
  • Reduced ammunition capacity of both normal and extended magazines
  • Recoil recovery speed improved

Sawn Off

  • Significantly increased damage and range

Super Sport

  • Starting ammunition increased

Two-Handed Shotguns

  • Resolved an issue that prevented the Gas Systems Kit attachment from granting the correct damage bonus
  • Improved the effectiveness of the Barrel Upgrade attachment

Suppressor Attachments

  • Now correctly decreases weapon damage at moderate to long range

Anyways, I'm glad they fixed some things with the weapons and maintaining the game a good amount. I had that RPG bounce of a ceiling for me once haha, I was like "Whaaaat the hell?" lmao.

nice, i'm at rank 38 at the moment so any improvements are great. nice to know rockstar care about the consumers. whereas other's (no name's mentioned) don't give a f**k and that's why peeps stay away from there games. no where the f**k is GTAV!!! :p

I hope that the damage was decreasing too much and the damage is now increased, but I doubt it. I use suppressors all the time!
