Randy has a good point. A lot of game series, hell even game companies, sacrificed what made them unique in favor of what they thought would draw more customers... and in the end it ends up losing a certain something. BioShock 2 is a good example. It ended up being a bit more action packed, had multiplayer, etc. and it just lost everything that made the original so unique. At any rate, he has plenty of good points besides that, but I'm glad to see he has such a passion for this IP and they're simply going bigger with this sequel. And, that's the way it should be. Borderlands is great, as is, and you don't need to change up the formula... just expand upon it. So hyped for this game. |

| I'm clearing my schedule up to and including Christmas so I can play this :). I will be taking a quick break to play DOA 5 and Halo 4 but they will be brief flirtations as I want to play this to it's fullest :). |

This generation is a prime example of changing standards to attract more people, mostly due to the large casual market that has emerged and the fact that gaming is becoming widely accepted as a casual pastime. The result is motion game spam and watered down sequels. I gotta give respect to devs who do their best to improve their work without sacrificing what it is just to attract more people. I'm also glad I gave Borderlands another chance. A year ago, I found the cartoonish graphics irritating and the gameplay bland, but I find now that the graphics are just part of the atmosphere of the game and that the gameplay isn't really that bad. In fact, it's a good game worth playing. I may not pick up Borderlands 2 at first, but I think it's a game that I can see myself getting at one point. |

Well the first Borderlands was one of my fave games of the current gaming generation and when this new comes out (ordered the Vault Hunters Edition) its gonna get played to death even though it comes out in a very hectic gaming period, its still going to get full attention. |

@1 Bioshock 2 was not made by the same dev team thats why it was not as good. @10 you mean 2, Bioshock Infinite is not even out yet and made by Irrational Games the same dev team that made Bioshock. Looking forwards to Borderlands and some other games. |

Borderlands was awesome! I saw a friend play it at a net cafe and right that second I knew I wanted to try it, simply because of the look alone! Then I got to play it and it blew my mind away. Even through the minimalistic story Gearbox's dark humor bled through, reached me and made my love for the game even stronger. Then the DLC arrived, Moxxi's Underboo-- er, Underdome and General Knox's Keep and... I have no words. The only way I could be as hyped up as I am now is if Square Enix announced plans to re-make FFVII for the PS4 :P |
