Konami is really going to town for PES 2013, with a host of new game modes demonstrated in this new trailer. First up is Performance Training, which enables you to master the PES Full Control feature while helping you to master the new offensive and defensive control mechanics.

Then there's the funky Online Modes that offers an open community in each of PES 2013's worldwide territories, giving you the opportunity to start rivalries with other cities and communities, as well as creating a social community with your friends. There's also a 'Widget' that helps you stay connected to your friends, making it easy to set up matches with your buddies.

Using the so-called Widget, you can chat, send invites and so on. There's also Rival Rankings in Master League Online, while myPES will keep track of your stats after each match that you can then post to Facebook if you like. Then, last but not least is 'Football Life', where you can purchase a variety of items to develop your players, including weights, stopwatches, training poles, keepy-uppy balls and more.

It all looks rather good. PES 2013 is out in autumn 2012. Read our hands-on preview for more PES 2013.

same every year konami promise us the earth and when we buy it,it's the same old game with the odd gimmick chucked in....and boring long winded trophies and a lack of licence and well out of date squads even with updates.

konami always fail to deliver their own hype.

I'm sorry but i'm currently playing pes 11 after getting bored and selling fifa and i really wish i didnt, its years behind fifa the players dont move well but the behind the scenes options such as training and agents are better than what fifa offers but gameplay wise pes 13 looks no different than pes11 jus a couple of extra moves but it looks just the same, i wish they would go back to their roots the old pes and iss were far better and more fun.
@1 i'm not bitching at you but in what way did the AI seem better, in all the attacks in the video the AI had rings run round them ,you cant get close to a player in fifa as you will get the ball taken off you instantly?

I'd buy New Star Soccer... again... before I'd pay money for this game. How the mighty have fallen.

anyway have they got rid of the shit they messed up with last years pes?
i was sick and tired of every player in master league bitchin and moaning i didn't pick him out of a squad of 24 for the first time, and no mater what you tell em they fuck off end of season moaning your picking on them.

or never being able to sign a player without using the extra from the game menu to cheat get them to sign.
even if your the best team and won every bloody thing year in year out.

or be a legend mode were you score double than messi year in and out and he always gets footballer of the year and your top of every list and basicly man of the match most if not all games.

pes went to the dogs the moment it left playstation 2

Looks great. I've never played PES before in my life. I did play Fifa 99, 09, World Cup 2010 and 10 (some I owned, some I played at a friend's). I hear that PES hasn't been up to par compared to previous instalments.

However, I do love a elaborate tutorial and I do feel that EA's Fifa is lacking in this aspect. I still don't REALLY know how to do tricks in-game and I don't REALLY know how to add good curve to my shots (outside of set pieces) since I can't train it. At least, not in the Fifa games I own personally. And I really would like to be a better Fifa player.
