SEGA Teases Possible NiGHTS into Dreams HD Remake

SEGA has posted a suggestive teaser image on its Facebook Wall today, hinting that seminal SEGA Saturn classic, NiGHTS into Dreams could be the next game in the Sonic studio's list of HD remakes. The game also appeared as a remake on PlayStation 2 in 2008, fact fans.

It's entirely possible that SEGA is looking to release the 2008 Japan-only remake of the 1996 SEGA Saturn original in shiny high-definition, with fans suggesting that the released teaser picture bears a striking resemblance to NiGHTS into Dreams stage, Stick Canyon.

We've embedded the teaser Facebook picture below and a YouTube video of the Stick Canyon stage from Sonic Team's classic on-rails platformer, so you can draw your own conclusions. We agree that it certainly looks very similar, and with the SEGA Saturn's NiGHTS into Dreams July 5th 1996 anniversary approaching, it's possible SEGA could be lining up an announcement this Thursday.

We'll keep our eyes peeled for any further developments. Until then, check out the pic and YouTube vid below and compare. NiGHTS into Dreams HD? Lets hope so.

And Like 2# and 4# said bring Yakuza 1 and 2 as well Shenmue 1 and 2 for the PS3 or Vita.

Did you really just use that rather shitty video?? There is far better one on youtube that do Nights better justice than that!!
Anyway to point Hell yeah Nights remake would be fantastic

Most likely just a new stage for their upcoming Sonic All*Stars Racing. The graphics in the pic sure look like it to me.

So many people get their hopes up and then subsequently crushed when it isn't what they thought.

Not that anyone still reads this, but YES.. It is an HD remake of NiGHTS.. Confirmed by Sega on 7/5/12.

I personally think NiGHTS is a little overrated and seems like an amazing game because it was one of the few good games we got here for our American Saturns.
