Before F1 2010 came along and Codemasters Racing resurrected Formula One racing games, it was a neglected sub-genre that had been left in the wilderness for three years. With the success of F1 2010, the studio subsequently built upon that success for F1 2011 and now it's pulling out all the stops for F1 2012.
Having enjoyed a couple of laps around the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas with Game Director Paul Jeal, we stepped outside the LA Convention Center during E3 to talk in more depth about F1 2012 and what the future holds for the franchise, as Codemasters looks ahead with a multi-year deal in place for the FIA Formula One license.
Check out our interview below, and stick around for some outtakes at the end. You can also read our hands-on preview with a live demo video here.
