| I hope Sony is right. I would love to see Sony return to where it was ten years ago. I would be very sad if things kept getting worse and Sony ended up going out of business. |

| @1 I think they will get rid of all of there divisions but playstation, if it ever came down to that situation. They will probably want to save at least one branch of sony instead of going bankrupt. |

| @4 lmfao Sony make cheap crap people buy it for the name but now everyone knows they make cheap crap that doesn't last 5mins they are starting to go under,only thing Sony has going for it ATM is the ps3 an that's only because there's only 3 consoles to pick from so not much choice if your a gamer. |

| Every Sony product I've bought lasted me many years. My Sony mdr headphones lasted eight years without breaking and that was only because of my friends not being careful with it. I glued it back together and it's fine. My 60gb only lasted three years though I was over using it. They don't make crap #6, you've got no idea what you're speaking of and aren't speaking from experience. Microsoft makes many other things so they have no need to perfect the Xbox's as Sony does the Playstation's. Why buy from a company that doesn't focus on their gaming? |

| @7 & @8 guess your right that's must be why sony are losing money in every other product they make why would you buy a sony tv when you can buy a philips or bang and olufsen tv maybe because you can't afford one so you buy a cheap sony tv.i'm on my 16th ps3 so yeah they make shit that lasts ps3 only been out 6 years and to have 16 ps3 in that time says it all everything i've had with a sony name doesn't last. |

| Sony was well-known for being an upper-level brand name. Part of Sony's failures in the current economy is their inability to adapt to the economy and try to market goods towards a larger group of consumers. Sony computers and televisions are notorious for being high-end but offering nothing special compared to the competition besides the Sony label. However, Sony audio is definitely top-notch, they have some of the best headphones out there. Hirai needs to take a look at Sony as a whole, see where Sony's strengths are and expand on them, and look at Sony's weak areas and either work on improving them for sales or cutting them off completely. |
