BioWare Teases Upcoming Mass Effect 3 DLC, ‘Leviathan’ Files Hidden in Extended Cut

With the Extended Cut update for Mass Effect 3 (kinda sorta) done and dusted, BioWare has stated its intention to release “much more” add-on content for the RPG threequel.

Speaking on Twitter, series producer Mike Gamble said, “Would now be a good time to talk about how we’re doing more DLC in the future? That was a trick question. We’ll save the future DLC for future chats. Don’t worry though. There’s much more.”

Yet while Gamble was unwilling to reveal any details, script elements from what looks like an add-on called Leviathon have been dredged up by fans searching through Extended Cut’s code. It’s pretty extensive too, revealing a whole bunch of in-game text and dialogue.

We’re not going to detail any of it here, for the same reason we didn’t and won’t discuss Extended Cut content: because it’s better for you to discover it yourself. However, should you be intrigued you can find the whole file here. Spoilers, innit.

The Extended Cut DLC for Mass Effect 3 launched on US PSN yesterday. It's coming to the EU PSN next week.

Leviathan? That sounds an awful lot like just another multiplayer pack.

But, if theres lots of dialogue in it, could that possibly mean *gasp* extra single player content?

Doesn't sound like helping Aria take back Omega though. At the end of the day, isn't that what we all want? Or is it just me?

Well, if it is DLC, I'm hoping they release it as free DLC. Right now, it's about the only thing that's keeping Bioware's popularity at a good level, after the disasters of ME3, Dragon Age 2, and Star Wars: The Old Republic

If the Extended Cut is as bad as people say it is, then hopefully this next one will further plug the holes in it :).

I always thought its was stupid Shepard never offered to help Aria to take back Omega, especially when she a powerful ally, at least from her story.

I know they don't have much time because of the Reapers but the whole game is about resolving the others's problems to have them as allies.
