Dragon's Dogma

Dragon's Dogma Sequel Confirmed
Written Monday, June 25, 2012 By Lee Bradley

Capcom has announced its intention to turn Dragon's Dogma into a series.

The Japanese RPG released last month to favourable reviews, including ours, before going on to ship almost 1 million units. It’s the 55th Capcom game to achieve such a target, also setting a Japanese record for first-week sales of a new franchise.

As a result of all these positive numbers, Capcom has enough confidence in the title to turn it into a series, therefore confirming at least one more Dragon's Dogma game.

Good news all around, then. A flawed gem, Dragon’s Dogma is one of this year’s best surprises. We’re well up for some more.

I liked what I read about the game, have not yet bought it just to all the other games I'm currently juggling but it's certainly one I want to play at some point.

That's fantastic news, I loved the first one. It was by far the most fun I had getting a platinum.

Can't wait. I played the first one for a month straight with no days (or many hours) off.

I hope that they build a more solid playthrough story for this one other then having most of it as background info.

though i wonder if it is just going to be another dimentional story type thing or if you know takes over at the end.

all the game needed was mp to be a solid 10 because I think that the combination attacks would be way cooler with a friend but thats just my opinion.

I am glad that there's another. I just hope they release it next year around may or something. No need to make another super fast.

I would like to see something with the save files carrying over though and no 1 save. Be able to save anywhere in different slots is the way to go.

Great news. I have Dogma in my "must play list" and seeing this news really hypes me up for to play it sooner.

If it wasn't for the night combat and how stupidly dark it gets and the fact that some average enemies take a good 5 minutes alone just to kill them 100% ruined me on wanting to finish the game. If they can balance it out more and not let a bandit with a shield damn near wipe out a team of 4......

Great. BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

1. Fast travel.
2. Infinite run - I hate stopping every 15 seconds because my guy is out of breath.
3. The ability to use multiple save files. One is unacceptable because some have experienced corrupted save files.

Guess that means also that there is no substantial DLC in the pipeline.

I hope part two has more quest that are fun and bad-ass. The Blue Moon Tower in the griffins bane quest was awesome! Breaking the siege at Shadowfort was fun as hell too!

@everyone wanting online co-op, this game doesnt need it. for god sakes, not every single game that comes out needs multiplayer in it, especially if it started out SP (god of war, assassin's, bioshock). SP games are good without multiplayer elements in them

also damn already though? wait at least 12-18 months before announcing/ confirming a sequel. games need more space between sequels and not yearly releases. those get stale , repetitive and turn people off (looking at you CoD and AC)

I am glad to hear this game is getting a sequel. I played the demo and was unsure, but I bought it on sale and have never regretted it.
I love action RPGs and this is one of the best I have played, and I played many different ones (even some that most people hated!).

As long as they put the Resident Evil 7 demo in with it they'll get the same sales

I love Drangons Dogma but it needs to get harder on NG+ the game is just to easy and thats with your main Pawn only never mind another two, apart from that if you've not played it yet i highly recommend Drangons Dogma.

A bigger world and a better story and I am good to go. Also a few more classes would be nice.
Also want to hear the Arisen talk.

And I really hope that they SKIP multiplayer. The game is good as it is, maybe a few fixes with the bloody camera...

Loved the first one.
They should keep the gameplay generally the same and tweek a couple of things and this game would be damn close to a perfect hybrid RPG.

Here's hopin' they use some common sense and put some co-op into the sequel. One of the few things to keep me from buying day one, but fun nevertheless.
