Journey Compilation Brings thatgamecompany's PS3 Titles to Retail

Thatgamecompany has confirmed Journey Compilation, as a disc-based, three-title collection encompassing all of the studio’s PS3-exclusive PSN titles.

The collection of flOw, Flower and Journey was initially spotted via a listing at retailer Gamefly. It has since been taken down, but a page is still up at PlayAsia, which also mentions an August 2012 release.

Responding to the discovery, Thatgamecompany confirmed the release via Twitter, saying, "Yes, the #JourneyPS3 Collector's Edition is a thing, and it includes #flOwPS3 and #FlowerPS3, but we can't say anything more.”

Wow this is really great, kinda makes me wish i didnt buy em on the PSN store so I could get a disk copy but whatever. There great games and this is a must buy for any that havent played them. Cant imagine it would be too expensive either as their all cheap games.

It would be a very worthwhile purchase. Their games are A+ and have high replay value, as well as are visually stunning. It's not just another cheap crappy DLC, these are real and very worthwhile games that should be sold retail. I will be buying it on Day 1, with pre-order.

Flower was really nice, I havent played Journey yet because I dont usually buy psn games that are over 10€, but I could buy the retail version since I dont have flower anymore.

Well fuck... I already have Flower and Journey, never bothered with fl0w, and I don't think it'll be worth buying a retail release just for that one game :(

Damn, I'm in the same pot as so many, bought flow & flower a short time ago while they were discounted on the EU store.
But will probably be cheap, seen some discs with 3 PSN games before & they usually cost less than buying 2 of 3 games discounted from the store, the Bejewelled 3 disc, which has 2 other games as well, costs less here than to buy Bejewelled 3 alone from PSN lol

I'll probably buy them all again on disc.

Hey, I wonder if that's why they do a disc release after the digital release... To get suckers like me to buy them all a second time. ;)

I did the same thing with Back to the Future, and I imagine TTG will do the same with The Walking Dead when they have all been released.

Awesome! Now when you're done "playing" these awful things, you can shred the disc in disgust instead of just having to simply delete them (which is boring and unsatisfying).

I already have the PSN version but it'd be nice to have a hard copy and clear up some hard drive space.. not that they take up much as it it considering how good the games themselves are. =)

I have all 3 titles from PSN as downloads. If I buy the retail disk and delete the downloaded PSN games from my hard drive, will I be able to use my same save games? Will it create a second set of trophies for Flow, Flower and Journey?

Still on the edge about buying Journey. I'd love it for sure, but I'm a PS+ member so... you know how it is.

@14 What's your problem? You do know that if you have a problem with games you can...stop playing games, right? You can find other hobbies that I'm sure you'll find more satisfying, such as masturbating.

While collections are a wonderful idea, they are kind of missed on people like me who may have bought at least one of these games already. It'd be nice if Sony did a discount on these games alongside release of the disc collection, but that's hoping for too much.

@25,

I'm not sure what "trolling" is regarding my question. I just wanted to make sure that since I have the PSN downloaded games already, those game's trophy lists are tied to my PSN. I want to find out if I put the Journey collectors edition disc into my PS3 it does not install another set of trophy lists for the games.

I've seen with games like LEGO Indiana Jones, and Ace Combat and some PSN titles that people will have (in their trophy lists) for example:

LEGO Indiana Jones 56%
LEGO Indiana Jones (US) 34%

or

Ace Combat Assault Horizon [US] 23%
Ace Combat Assault Horizon 24%

I just don't want the case to be for me something like this:

Flower 100%
Flower (disc) 0%

Does this make sense? And no I do not troll, or whatever the term is.
