Okami Getting a HD Brush Up and Move Support this Autumn

Okami is getting a sexy HD makeover, Move integration and a bargainous release on PSN. Hurrah!

The revered but underperforming title originally hit PlayStation 2 in 2006, picking up plaudits for its gorgeous art style, classical Japanese themes and Celestial Brush mechanics that allowed you to alter the environment around you, battle enemies and more.

Later ported to Wii in 2008, the Celestial Brush system translated well onto the system’s Wii Remote, so we can only assume that the same will apply to Move’s superior sensitivity. Plus, just look at it! It’s beautiful! And it'll have trophies too!

Check out the trailer below. Okami HD will be available on PAL PSN this autumn for £15.99 /€19.99.

Not to sound like a trophy whore, but no trophies...? Hmmm well It'll still be worth a buy.

It HAS trophies (see the vid), and it's a definite must-have-title, especially for only 20€. It will be nice to play this again in HD on a big screen... :-)

@ 3 : It's missing in the news but if you had looked at the video you would have read that there will be 51 trophies including 1 platinum one. ;)

Sure hope it will have move support since the Wii version had it but then again Capcom has missed opportunities to implement things like that before in it's HD collections. cough Resident Evil 4 cough cough*.

OMG OMG OMG OMG! Freaking nice! I never got to finish this game. I had it on the Wii but it froze during a boss and that deterred me from going back to finish it. Also, I was so worried this would not have a plat because it's a full release in Japan at $50 and only a digital release in the west at $20 (remember RE:CV HD and RE4 HD, anyone). SO, droppin' $20 on this!

Must buy for everyone. Even if you already have the game. That's how good it is even before an HD update.

Unless they SOMEHOW eff it up.

YES! Finally! I've been waiting for this for some time already, and I knew it was going to happen. A kind of game that was taken for granted back in its days. This is a MUST play.

Please, please, please tell me that this title isn't going to be a PAL-only version. Canada (and by extension, the Americas) wants this title, too!
