I was actually going to play this game again for the first time in months when first I saw "Double XP"... but then it was ruined by the whole "premium subscribers" thing... Way to make me not want to play your game even longer.

@3 You're not paying for Doublt XP just a perk to the service. All premium service is prebuying the DLC for a discounted price. THATS IT. I don't understand why everyone complains about it. Everyone compares it to COD Elite, its nothing in the same as that.

Double Xp is maybe the last thing premium subscribers are concerned about... We have it because of the maps, vehicles and guns mainly. Different from elite, that you pay the same $50 to get much smaller maps and no in-game content, besides the useless titles and emblems.

There is no comparison between premium and elite. They are totally differet and shouldn't even be categorized together.

Premium is a one time $50 cost for DLC related to BF3 ONLY. Basically you save prebuy the DLC and save $10, That's it! Premium is the same as Fortune Hunters Club for Uncharted 3.

Elite - is a YEARLY $50 fee for all games under the COD Flagship.

@3 They'll probably do a 2x XP for non-premiums at the launch of every DLC, and premium will get an extra weekend after that.

2x XP is a nice bonus and all, but Battlefield isn't one of those games where 2x XP is needed. It just devalues the experience, and causes you to get bored faster since it will pump you to max rank incredibly fast. Oh well, Battlefield is my (insert addictive drug) and I'll probably play during 2x XP anyway.

@13 you're ingorant. You're paying for future DLC at a discounted price. No paying for double XP. People need to comprehend English.

Wow, so now they're penalizing non-premium members because we don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money.

@15 The only way they're penalizing you is if they say 'Premium members get 2x exp. Everyone else loses exp for every game they play, muahahahahah!'

What a bunch of lame ass blind fucktards. Yeah I'm talking you morons who do not see the dick in your face. Essentially you are paying for it - and yes, it is now being used as a weapon to coerce others into paying for a service that now divides the community with "special" offerings only available to said "premium" members.

Also COD:Elite, and BF:Premium are the same services essentially. One just caters to all forthcoming titles within said franchise while the other will die as soon as they are done taking your money, and have no need to touch the game anymore. Meaning by the end of the year.

Thanks for the good laugh losers.

I'd rather the 2x XP be something like "10 hours actual game time 2x XP given to you at XX:XX PM" since not everyone has the convenience to play during the very limited window of what they consider to be a "double XP weekend." But I guess it really doesn't matter since the value in Premium is the money you save on the amazing expansions, not the small events and bonuses that people seem to be distracted by.

No one knew about the Premium Only Double XP weekends when we bought the $50 Premium Package. Everyone I play with just wanted to save $10 on the DLC over time. EA did not advertise this double XP, so it is an unexpected perk. As far as leveling up quicker, that is great for newcomers, but many of us platinumed the game last year and couldn't care less about becoming Colonel level (whatever). We just love the game.

Anyone else having MORE server issues AFTER purchasing Premium? I don't care about double XP. Take that $50 and fix your freaking servers, EA! There is more lag, more "connection errors", and more glitching than before CQ came out.

There are some amount of idiots on this site, "oh I gotta pay now for xp" retarded. I guess no one is buying DLC then? Premium = DLC bundle with a few extras instead of buying individual DLCs for a bit more with no extras. How is that hard to understand? Double XP is a thank you for giving $50 now for DLC that won't be out for 6months+

Meh I will never buy premium because you are essentially paying 110$ for BF3 and I know I will be playing MOH in october so this is worthless.

@21

So ummm, you're essentially going to be playing the ugly stepsister of BF3 in October? Yea, have fun with that one.
