So this was the collaboration between Overkill and Valve. A trailer has emerged overnight for some new Payday: The Heist DLC set in the Mercy Hospital from the original Left 4 Dead. Valve’s Chet Faliszek revealed that a L4D character will appear in the add-on as well as a “fun little easter egg with a payoff later in Left 4 Dead.” “This is a 100% Overkill made mission for Payday: Heist simply set in no mercy hospital from the Left 4 Dead series,” he said. “It is not telling the origins of the Infection and is not canon. A few weeks ago, Overkill announced that they were working on something with Valve to mesh the two worlds of Payday: The Heist and Left 4 Dead. We got rather excited. Then, it was rumoured that the collaboration was going to be a Left 4 Dead prequel by Overkill, detailing how the zombie outbreak came about. But then those rumours were quickly shot down. Boo. The rumours weren’t too far off though, by the looks of it. Platforms, prices or dates have not yet been revealed. It’s possible that the DLC may be PC only. We’ll keep you posted. [via Kotaku]
