@3 What? Porting a game to a console? Releasing a game in HD, possibly with trophies like a lot of people want?

| The point of angry birds is to make the bus journey, the wait at the dentist, or your lunch break at work a little less monotonous..Unless this is a change of direction for the series, branching out to new genres perhaps a 2D platformer with a story etc? |

I'd enjoy a 3D Angry Birds where you could guide your bird after flinging them in the air. With the camera being behind said bird. The puzzles would have to be harder of course to accompany this change. Also, I'd only buy if it was released as a digital download for $9.99 or so. Retail price for an Angry Birds game is just wrong.
Also, I'm calling Angry Birds HD to have some of the meanest trophies there is. Easter Eggs being the collectable trophies and some shenanigan 1 million points trophy or somewhere below that number. |

@3 - Have you ever played any of the Angry Birds games? They are unique, simple but challenging, and have been a global block buster.
Simple enough that my 2 year old can play, but there are whole sites devoted to strategies to master the levels.
As has been said above, these are portable, on the fly games. Pick up and play for a half hour when you have time to kill. And most of them cost about $1.
I am not exactly sure how they will work, and if simple ports, I would agree that they are not optimal for consoles. But Rovio has typically been very creative and rarely have disappointed with any of the Angry Birds products, and has provided excellent support and follow up level add ons and expansions at no cost.
I would say this is what the gaming industry in general needs more of. |

My guess is that it'll be announced for the Wii U, Vita, and 3DS if they no intention of altering the controls (you know, since they all have touch screens).
If it's on the PS3, there would be Move support (maybe a Wii version, too). The controls for the current PS minis version are "acceptable" and would fit all current consoles, but it doesn't seem likely in this new version.
That's if they keep the gameplay the same, of course. |

I'm always up to playing Angry Birds. People may write it off as "Casual" or "kiddy" but its obvious those people have never attempted to perfect all the levels.
Perfecting every Angry Birds level is one of the most difficult feats in gaming. |

| @15 I strongly agree. Yeah if you play angry birds for a level or two on your phone may seem kiddy, but like you said, it's gets very hard. Considering this is the biggest selling app game ever, i think it should have been on consoles a long time ago. Not to mention I would think the console versions would have maybe a little more to them then the free versions. |

@Everyone
1) This is a problem. Angry Birds is actually already on consoles. You can buy it as a Minis for PS3/PSP/PSV and it wouldn't be so hard to do the same for the XBOX.
2) Angry Birds is not a childish game. It's challenging and engaging and is beating titles like Call of Duty in terms of copies sold.
3) ROXIO is to Activision as Freedom is to Nazi.
All I can see is that this is a game that's come out multiply times. Who is going to buy a game they can get anywhere else and enjoy it more and pay way less. |
