E3 2012: Move Support, Tailored Levels Coming to Portal 2

Valve are confirmed to be bringing Move functionality to Portal 2, alongside some fresh, dedicated downloadable content.

Called Portal 2 In Motion, the pack is being shown off right now on the E3 show floor. As well as employing Sony’s motion waggler, the pack also contains six new levels.

These levels are the same as the Sixense MotionPack DLC made for Razer’s Hydra PC motion controller. Unlike normal Portal 2 levels, they allow players to manipulate objects, rescaling them to solve new puzzles.

Portal 2 In Motion will be made available later in the year.

Half-Life was the only good game, Half-Life 2 was too easy and crap.

I'm really liking this relationship between Valve and Sony and this is great for those with Move.

@2 Half-Life 2 was great. You take that back!

Portal 2 is fantastic. I guess Valve is going to have their own special release of Half Life 3, Left 4 Dead 3, etc separate from E3 to showcase their own hype. Can't blame them!

Half-Life 2 was the borderline of when first person shooters became too easy. Too many explosive barrels, unlimited ammo crates, shitty AI, etc, etc, etc.

So by "later this year" Valve means mid-2013, right?

#9, Hope your wrong, but you made me laugh - Art Therapy took an extra 5 months to release from their original release date, hope this comes soon - and trophies would be nice too (but probably not happening)

This could be good, but I'd rather see them bring that mysterious thing they said was the original idea for Portal 2 as a DLC or even as a new game. Maybe Portal 3?

@Half-Life²: Yikes, that game sucked. Couldn't even bother to play that episode thing afterwards even though I got it together with the game. Still don't understand how they could go from HL1 to HL2. ???

Did some of you only play Half-Life 2 recently? Back in 2004 on the PC it was rightly so a pinnacle FPS title.

Half Life 2 only sucked on PS3. I played it again on PC and it was SO MUCH FUN. They just didn't know how to develop on PS3 back then.

Anyone know if these can still be played without Move? I don't own it, but love playing the co-op with friends... and more of it is good in my book.

I'm hyped for the tailored levels, though, as well. Hopefully we'll see some good stuff for both single player and co-op levels.

#14: Unfortunately, the tractor beam feature seems exclusive to 3D movement in the same style as the 'Start The Party' gadgets. Don't count on a regular PS3 controller this time around.
