The Unfinished Swan

E3 2012: Sony's E3 - The Other PlayStation 3 Games

We’ve already seen The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, All-Stars Battle Royale and the rest of the big name, flag-waving titles from Sony’s PS3 E3 line-up. Here’s everything else.

There’s some lovely, lovely looking titles in here too, so scroll down for trailers and a screen from a bunch of games, then click on the individual titles for more. More!

Tokyo Jungle

We’ve been quietly following this one for a while. It looks insane. Tokyo has been abandoned and the beasts run free. Playing as a variety of different animals (a Pomeranian!), you must survive. Still no confirmation of a release outside Japan.

Sports Champions 2

The follow-up to 2010’s Move-enabled Sports Champions, the imaginatively titled sequel Sports Champions 2 brings a bunch of new games to the mix, including Tennis, Skiing and Boxing. Click the title to see the game in action. It’s out in the Autumn.

The Unfinished Swan

The Unfinished Swan takes place in an entirely white world within which you explore by throwing ink around the environment. The execution of this idea is wonderful. It’ll hit the PSN later this year.

Dance Star Party 2

It’s another dance game. It’s also out later this year.

I'm surprised about Tokyo Jungle. I'd have thought it'd be too soon since the Japan earthquake.

Sports Champions 2 I look forward to, same with the Unfinished Swan. Tokyo Jungle looks interesting

I'd like to see golf, or mini-putt, in Sports Champions 2!

I'm with #5. I've been wanting to see some DUST 514 info from E3. Can't seem to find any though.

Huh? What's so stupid about the first comment? I remember even movies had to be cancelled or edited after 9/11 so that the twin towers wouldn't be shown. A story about a ruined and abandoned Tokyo could be seen as just as tactless. Not that I consider it that way, but I could totally see people reacting that way to it. I think I even heard of other games from Japan having been cancelled out of respect for the victims.

I hope it's not just a beat'm up, it always looked like one. Other than that, Unfinshed Swan looks very interesting.

Sorry, but you've missed the point. The game's description doesn't suggest that Tokyo was abandoned due to an earthquake. It could as well have been another natural disaster, or something that wiped out the population, or an evacuation BECAUSE there's a bunch of wild animals on the loose. Or it could just be a "lol Japan" moment and there's no reason at all for the city to be abandoned.

Since it's a Japanese game, making the game setting Tokyo is only natural. You know, like the US likes to use NY or LA for most game/movie settings out there.

[Double Post, yeah, sorry]

...Not to mention, it's been over a year since the earthquake.

Yeah, I KNOW it would be silly to feel offended, but I also know how people are. That's why I don't consider comment #1 stupid.
