This is more like it. After a few weeks lacking in top of the chart excitement, we're greeted today by an almost entirely new top four, stuffed with new releases. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has taken second place in the charts, meaning Max Payne 3 holds fast at the top for a second week. The Ubisoft published tactical shooter was actually the worst reviewed new release last week. Rich called it "disappointing" in our review, but brand power is strong. Plus, y'know, people like shooting things. With Max and Tom Clancy battling it out in the top two spots, Dragon's Dogma and DiRT Showdown were left to fight over third and fourth. The quirky RPG and chaotic racer are both worthy of your cash money, let's hope they cling to their positions for a long time. Meanwhile, PS3-exclusives Starhawk and Sorcery are failing to live up to expectations. Indeed, Starhawk, after just three weeks on the chart, has already slumped to 20th. Barring a miracle it will drop from the charts completely next week after just a month on shelves. Sorcery, the Move-enabled adventure title, could only manage fourteenth. Ouch.
