![]() | XCOM: Enemy Unknown 'Deep Dive' Video Heads to The Base Written Wednesday, May 23, 2012 By Richard Walker View author's profile |
There's no place like home, right? And in XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the place you call home is 'the base': the nerve centre of all your operations, where you make your vital strategic decisions and put your feet up after a long, hard day shooting aliens in the face. Referred to during development as 'the ant farm', your base is customisable so you can add your own facilities and choose where to excavate. It's not a static thing, according to the devs at Firaxis Games. It changes based on your input. Mission control is also present and correct, with its projection of Earth floating in the centre. There's loads of stuff to do in the base, whether its sorting your loadout, probing aliens, researching new tech, building armours and so on. It's all in the video below, so check it out. XCOM: Enemy Unknown is launching on October 9th in North America and October 12th in Europe. | |
