PSN Down For Scheduled Maintenance From Tomorrow

Just when you thought there couldn't possibly be any more scheduled maintenance on the PlayStation Network, some more comes along. Sony has announced that the PlayStation Network will be offline for scheduled maintenance once again from 16:00 BST Thursday, 24th May until 08:00 BST on Friday, 25th May. Yay!

As usual, you won't be able to access the following services during the maintenance period:

  • PlayStation Store on PS3, PSP and PS Vita.
  • PlayStation Network Account Management.
  • PlayStation Network Account Registration.

And there's the usual caveats to consider too. You won't be able to sign in to PSN from eu.playstation.com, and if you eant to play online while the maintenance is going on, you can do so if you sign in to PSN before 16:00 BST tomorrow. You can continue grabbing trophies and they'll be updated on your profile when the PlayStation Network returns to normal.

Direct any questions you might have about the latest PSN maintenance to the fine folks at the PlayStation Forums.

That's ok. Going outside and getting some of that air will do me some good.

I don't plan on letting my wife and sister-in-law know that the network will be down. Using my PS3 to watch shows that I hate and not care. Single player games here I come!!

Fair enough, Thursdays are better than Fridays and at least Sony are starting to give a day's notice instead of 3-4 hours.

Im not disturbed. Some fresh air and a chance to finish some games that are only single player is probably for the best. No BFBC1 or BB:CS trophy boosting tomorrow then.

I don't have any problem too. Instead of playing COD Black Ops again, I could remember a bit of those GOD OF WAR days and Assassin's Creed ones too. (BTW if anybody knows how to OPEN my NAT from STRICT please tell me. I've tried port forwarding and nothing happened. Am I doing anything wrong? In order not to spoil the whole article, any suggestions could be made by Private Messaging).

Better than getting hacked again. At least Sony is getting their shit together this time. They can take as much time as they need to keep secure.

@12 Well, in my personal opinion: People got used to this and now appreciate the fact that SONY is just trying the best to keep us from getting hacked again.

@18: British Summer Time, it's GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) +1

Why does everybody say, this improves security and it's better than to be hacked again? When did Sony say anything about what they're doing during maintenance? Even during the outage we got zero information about.

Changing NAT type, use wired connection. Get a better internet package... faster speed.
