![]() | XCOM Still on 2K's Radar. Delayed Until Late 2013/Early 2014 Written Tuesday, May 22, 2012 By Richard Walker View author's profile |
Take-Two's Q4 and Fiscal Year 2012 results have been released today, revealing that the 2K parent company has had a relatively poor quarter, reporting a net revenue of $148.1 million, which is down year on year from $182.3 million the previous year. The company also revealed that 2K Marin's XCOM first-person shooter reboot has been delayed. XCOM was delayed into 2013 back in January, but this latest listing indicates that the game might actually be postponed in development for even longer than anticipated, tagging the release for 'Fiscal Year 2014'. That puts it somewhere between 1st April 2013 and March 31st 2014. While a 2013 release for XCOM is still a possibility, it appears that the oft-delayed FPS is perhaps further away and more likely to launch the following year. No reason was given for the delay. XCOM: Enemy Unknown was given an North American October 9th launch and European October 12th launch earlier today. ![]() | |
