Street Fighter X Tekken (PS3)

Street Fighter X Tekken Rolento Fireball Bug to be Addressed This June

Following last week's discovery of a game-breaking glitch in Street Fighter X Tekken that caused the game to freeze whenever Rolento's knife-throwing Stinger projectile attack came into contact with a fireball of any kind, Capcom has declared that its working on an imminent fix that should be ready for mid-June.

Apparently the glitch also extended to Ibuki and Cody's knife-based moves, meaning knives of any kind should be kept away from fireballs at all costs should you wish to play Street Fighter X Tekken between now and mid-June. Here's a statement from SFxTK Producer Tomoaki Ayano, regarding the upcoming 1.04 patch fix:

"As many of you are aware, a game breaking glitch has appeared in Street Fighter X Tekken after the release of the 1.04 update. The development team is currently examining the problem and planning to patch the game as quickly as possible. The patch to fix the glitch should be released by mid June," said Ayano.

"We truly apologise for this problem, and hope everyone will be patient until the patch is released."

Keep your eyes peeled for the Street Fighter X Tekken 1.04 patch fix next month then, and remember to keep those knives sheathed. Good advice all round.

As fun as this game is...I'm afraid the hype for this game is a dying extremely fast. A shame really!

You mean the hype hasn't already died yet ? lol

The game has been deemed the "unhype" game at tournaments now while UMvC3 takes the crown for the most entertaining spectator game. Unless they make "drastic" changes in that balance patch they mentioned (unless this 1.04 patch was actually the patch) then I'm afraid the game will easily fall out of the tournament line ups soon even despite it being a Capcom Fighter, I don't mind that at all though especially w/ Persona 4 Arena and Guilty Gear XX AC+ (re-release coming out on PSN) coming out we need to filler some games out at tournaments.

@Setsuna

I know with both of us being long time Capcom enthusiasts, it's surprising to see how poorly this game was handled. Especially with a titan collaboration with Namco. I've heard you mention Persona 4 Arena alot. I'm going to look it up. Guilty Gear is most certainly a given. I love that series. Anyway I guess we should look forward to TTT2 and TekkenXStreet Fighter.

@Rafie

I don't think Namco had much say in its production, I think Capcom were just given the rights to use Tekken characters and Capcom went from there because I don't Harada would have let something like this happen (of course I don't know the process in which it was made so this is strictly opinion). You should, if you couldn't tell I'm EXCITED for the game. Alot of GG players didnt like BB for the speed and the constant iterations released, they didn't feel the same freedom they had from GG in BB. P4A looks to be a MUCH faster Blazblue with more similarities to GGs mechanics. Look up match videos (theres plenty on youtube right) and I'm sure it won't disappoint.

@4 and 5 the guys above, I read back near the beginning that the two companies pretty much weren't involved with each other in the making of each others respective game and left it to the other to decide how it would work.

I think that ae is still the best fighting game around because it isn't as slow as x tekken nor does it have as much bullshit as ultimate also it has less broken characters compared to ultimate or x tekken

What a glitch, I don't understand how can they overlook this, just shows how much everything is being rushed with this game, even the patches.
I am still enjoying playing the game regardless, just wished Capcom wasn't to careless with this game.
