2K Games and Firaxis have today announced that XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be launching this October with a pre-order launch bonus that'll help you deck out your soldier with the best gear. Called the 'Elite Soldier Pack', the pre-order incentive adds a number of customisation options, providing the "ultimate tools" for your alien-busting troops.

Here's what the Elite Soldier Pack contains:

• Classic X-COM Soldier: Players will instantly receive a new recruit in their barracks inspired by the original X-COM: UFO Defense. The iconic soldier with the blonde, flattop hairstyle will return in his full glory, modernised with the rest of the XCOM universe.
• Soldier Deco packs: Players can customize their soldier with several aesthetic upgrades to armour suits, including the new Hyperion and Reaper soldier armour kits.
• Complete colour customisation: A variety of colours and tints for all armour sets in the game allow players complete control to customise their squad’s look.

A reimagining of the 90s PC original, XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be invading North America on October 9th, before touching down and making contact with Europe on October 12th.
